I’ve been privileged to have some specials buns come through my life and TimTim was certainly one of them. He’s been with me the longest, reaching 13 yrs and 3 months.
On Thursday he went over the rainbow bridge. I’ve been “preparing” for when he would go on, knowing he was very much in his twilight years. But gosh, you develop some really ingrained habits when you’ve shared a long time with a furry companion. I keep finding myself doing little things regarding his care, even now his not here. I’m sure that is familiar to many of you!

TimTim was very much my little buddy. He didn’t have a bonded bunny companion, but over the years, he did occasionally socialise with different ones in my bunny family. He had a roommate in Jelly during his first year of life but sadly Jelly didn’t live a very long life.

When I had a mother/daughter pair in Maple and Potumus, TimTim did come visit with them both in their space and a communal area. They shared noms together 🙂

Then later, he was introduced to Ailis as she was newly single when Rumball passed away. They did ok but I didn’t work on a bond. They were both a lot older and I didn’t want to cause too much stress. TimTim was ok with the bunny girls, he always demanded grooms and they usually obliged. He wasn’t as practiced in giving them though! I found he mostly wanted to return to his own space after a while. I was allowed in this space. 😉

I really enjoyed the years he liked to come up and sleep on my bed. My sheets became victim to his teeth but I thought it was worth it. Bedding can be replaced.
He lost his vision last year so he stopped going up on the bed, but I did still get to watch him do laps around the room in the mornings despite his impaired sight. Sometimes with that little humming noise that they do.

I will miss him dearly but I have many memories and photos to revisit when I’m really feeling his absence.  Binky free, Bub ❤️

I’m hoping the links to these  albums work. Please let me know if they are not opening.
The 1st pic in this one is Timbu aged 1yr, a couple as 10yr old and the last is more recent photo aged 12 or 13 https://imgur.com/a/cj9ymxq

This album is baby TimTim, mostly at 4wks old (photos of mixed quality) https://imgur.com/a/dQ22YeK

I’m so sorry JG. What a beautiful boy Tim Tim was! And such a cute baby! And an adorable scruffy grandpa in his golden years <3

What a wonderful life he had with you. It is such a gift to see them in their golden years, but no matter how much we prepare it doesn’t make it easier when they pass.

              Binky Free Tim Tim!

I know! Time is very strange.  I was very enamoured by him when I brought him home and shared it on here. Then suddenly a decade or more has passed. It happened to be Chinese New Year, year of the Rabbit on the day I picked him up and now another one of these has been and gone.

I have just a pair now and I realised the other day it was Jan 2011 since the last time I had just 2 rabbits 😳
