So, remember my Timothy? The old, old sanctuary boy we recently took in? One of his lumps started bleeding three days ago – it burst open. I called the president of the HRS and she helped us getting him to the vet (since he is a sanctuary boy). The vet Timothy went to is THE BEST here, he does laser surgeries and all that. When the vet and his staff first saw him, they recommended putting him to sleep. The president of the HRS told them his living situation now and how spoiled he is and all that. This was on Thursday. On Friday, yesterday, Timothy was supposed to go through local anasthesia to remove that one lump. As they were cutting on him, the vet decided to put him out and remove all lumps since he was doing so well. He went through surgery with flying colors, no problems at all! By Friday evening, everyone at the office was ooing and awwing over Timothy and they were all flattered how he would lick them and they were amazed at how well he did through everything.
When I first saw Timothy, I thought the most humane thing was to put him to sleep. After a day, I changed my mind. It’s amazing how much will to live Timothy has, how strong he is. He is not bothered by the fact that he cannot move around like a young bunny. He is my little trooper! He is such a bunny ambassador! He loves everyone and everything, is happy wherever he goes. Velvet and Dancer are the complete opposite. They are only happy here in their house (which Velvet has fully claimed). If people come over, that’s it, they hide, forget it. They are not social at all. Timothy is my social butterfly.
We will pick him up and bring him back home this afternoon!
