Hi, recently one of my rabbits passed away (she was 12!), but my second bunny, Chloe, is still young and hopping and I think its time for a change of scenery. She has a standard house, but I let her out constantly. I have a small space to build a rabbit house (I was thinking NIC?) and I need some ideas/help building one. A lot of the youtube videos are old videos (aka Binky Bunny and 101Rabbits). Any help would be great– thanks!

I like using C&C cages. I bought one of the cages for my buns, but they have the grids and connectors for sale too so you can make your own custom pen/area

There’s lots of info out there on this, you can check out posts I made in a thread from when I built my NIC cage, I posted pictures with updates on most of the steps. Starts about halfway down the page here: http://www.rabbitsonline.net/showthread.php?t=73547&page=39

I used a set of NIC grids to make a fence. Anyways, I had to use it as a makeshift cage, so I connected the ends with binder rings (all temporary), and put a lid on it. I realised that if I’d attached a second boxful of grids to my current fence, I could’ve had a nice sized cage, and used tarp or lino for the flooring, and chucked a couple of mats in there. That’s another alternative. I like height in my cages, so that’s why I prefer the fence option. I also have a rabbit who likes to jump.
