OMG!! Tillie is out of control. She is only 4 months, but she is a hormonal mess! She will charge at me anytime I approach her. She honks and then boxes me. When it is treat time she runs around me in circles (never did this before) and then nose dives into the treat bag or raisin box. Aggression is not even the word for it. It is coming up on nail trimming time and I am thinking I just may hold off and let the vet do it when she gets spayed. Speaking of spaying … we estimate she was born the beginning of April. The rescue mentioned getting her fixed at the end of this month, which will make her just a week or so shy of 5 months. Is that too soon? I want what is best for her, but almost wish she was going in, like, tomorrow!! Geesh!

depends how experienced your vet is,  sophie was estimated about 5 months, she also was a tad bit hormonal except without the aggression but my poor boyfriend has some scars from being her personal humping toy!  we ended up bringing our boy for his neuter and just taking her along and our vet took her in the same day. after seeing her size and what not.

Haha, sounds a lot like my Riley….except he’s 4 years old AND neutered. He just likes things his way – even the cat is afraid of him!

My vet estimated my girl to be 4-5 months when he spayed her, but he was experienced so had no problems. Typically they wait until 6 months, but if the vet is comfortable with it they can do it sooner.

Sounds like a hormonal girl my mini-rex went nuts too, though not quite that bad …

                Oh my LOL!

My Chacha just peed outside of her litter box and wouldn’t sit still I still get the occasional honks and feet circles.. haha

I got her spayed at 6 months. I would inquire with your vet and ask when what age is great for spays

Thanks everyone. The vet that will be spaying Tillie does A LOT of rabbits and comes highly recommened (does all the rescues spays/neuters). I am just amazed at how aggressive my girl has become. I cannot even pet her anymore

Yeah, some totally do a 360 when the hormones kick in. Just a little advice, it may take a month for those hormones to settle down after the spay.

Yes, I knew it is going to take a while for the hormones to die down. This morning I picked her up to pick out a mat she has on her hind end (she is molting severly) and I have lovely scratchs to show her complete disapproval. I love her but ***grumble grumble***
