I just learned that my bunny Quinn is afraid of thunder. We are having an unseasonably warm winter (as in it has snowed twice and we have had a total of six inches), so I’m worried we’re going to be getting more storms, and I don’t know how to ease her anxiety down. I know there are the “Thundershirts” for dogs, so I’m wondering if there is a similar product for bunnies. Or if anyone else has had this problem and has advice for how to handle this.

You could try getting a CD with thunder sounds on it and playing that, a little louder each night to get her accustomed to the sound.

I will try that for sure! Thank you for that suggestion

I have one bun who is terrified of thunder. Its bad enough that he will not eat if its storming outside, even though he is an inside bunny. I dull the noise to help him out some. I will play music or have the tv a bit louder than normal. I also keep all blinds closed so that he cant see outside at all. This usually helps him feel a bit calmer, to the point he will munch but not full on eat anything until the storm dies down or ends

Thank you! The weather forecast is showing thunderstorms all week, so I will definitely have to try that.
