I have a dwarf lion head rabbit! She’s not even one maybe 3 or 4 months old.. since she was a dwarf I had her in a fairly small cage and I would just let her run around my bed for a lot of the day when I was in my room. Tonight after she had an hour or two of play time I put her in a brand new cage that is a lot bigger than her original cage. She has started thumping randomly maybe 3 or 4 times! I’m worried she is stressed out.. I don’t want to put her back in her old cage. Does anyone have any suggestions to why or how to fix it?

You can’t really stop the thumping (if that’s what you’re asking?). She’s really going to just have to come to terms with her new space on her own. At first she might be a grump but eventually she’ll settle down. It’s like when you transition from baby to adult pellets, sometimes they get too fussy about the change and will only eat the baby pellets until they realize they won’t get anything else.

Awesome thank you! It’s been a week almost and she’s still a bit grumpy but I was away for a few days so my dad had to take care of her. So I think she’s a little upset over that too ? threw her routine off. Thank you
