Hello!
So I rescued a beautiful and sweet bunny a couple weeks ago, and she just started to thump in the middle of the night.
She is very sweet, she loves cuddles and is very attached to me already- sometimes when I stop petting her she will run away, thump, make noise and demand more pets lol.
Anyway, I keep her cage directly next to my bed, as I have a small apt. and there’s really no other room for it. She is free roam from when I wake up at 7 till about 11 or 12 that night then she goes in her cage for the night. I think she really dislikes being in the cage because she will thump in the middle of the night. I notice she does it sometimes when I readjust myself in bed- do you think that I am frightening her? Or is she just upset that she is in a cage and I’m not lol.
I covered her cage last night with a blanket when I noticed that she thumps whenever I move or sit up for some water in the middle of the night- I thought I might be scaring her, and it may have stopped or I may have just been too tired to hear lol. She also thumps when my boyfriend and I speak in the middle of the night lol whether I’m asking him to scoot over or whatever. I’m probably just scaring her?
Just wondering you’re opinions and if there might be a way to stop it!
I am moving Dec. 1st and I was planning on letting Eggo have the walk in closet floor space as her own space, so maybe that’ll rectify the situation if nothing else does!
BONUS question! Do any of your buns beg like puppy dogs? I have a strong feeling whenever owned Eggo before me fed her human food lol because whenever I grab a bag of chips or stick something in my mouth she loses it and tries to eat whatever it is immediately lol
