We took our adopted boy home 6 days ago – 7 month old crossbreed (definitely some lop in there).
Tonight he’s been thumping and then running into his hidey corner. I was on my way to bring out his dinner (pellets – delicious!) and he scarpered into the corner and thumped. But, as soon as I put his food down to him 5 seconds later he was right out to it….munching away and then chinning his toys.
Is there a chance the thump was a ‘feed me’ demand?
We just want to make sure we’re not frightening him or anything and really want to take his cues (he got a big fright yesterday after our door buzzer went and has been really skittish since).

Sounds like he is jumpy because he hasn’t forgotten about the fright, but then realised you weren’t a threat and proceeded to eat his pellets.

Sometimes it takes a day or two for nerves to calm, so it doesn’t sound like a big issue as long as he is still pooping and peeing normally etc.
