Last night I decided to try something and I let Lilly out of her room while the boys were upstairs to see how it went. . . much to my surprise, it went great!!! Acorn only chased Lilly a few times and never actually tried to bite her or anything and Henri and Lilly pretty much ignored eachother. I ended up leaving her out all night with them and I’ve had absolutely no problems with them at all!!! I was expecting my little “killer” to cause all sorts of ruckus with Lilly being around but him and Henri pretty much just acted like they normally do. I might be the luckiest bunny mom around!
Oh yeah, and Lilly thinks she’s a cat! Her new favorite place is chilling out on the back of the futon. . . I moved it by a window so she has her own perfect window seat view of the world.
hurrah and spoilt spoilt spoilt aren’t they. her own window seeat hehee. well mine get roses so
by the way I have an angora and she is so mellow and just absolutely adorable. a broken black and cotton doesn’t want her in his living room however he visits them in the bathroom is neutral there. they do ok there. and he has been so excited lately binkying and such he normally doesn’t do that. he must be happy
Yep, her own window seat and now I get to be greeted by not only happy kitty faces in the window but a fluffy bunny face too . . . Lucky me!
It seems like angoras in general are a pretty laid back breed.
Wow, Angoragrl ! That’s fantastic !
So is Lilly litter trained then ? I’m still struggling with Frosty and feel like giving up at this point *sigh*
I’m so thrilled that Henri & Acorn didn’t bother Lilly. She obviously feels very comfortable with her surroundings now, which is just wonderful ! I’m so happy for you :oD

I wish!!! I have been working with all three of them on it. The boys and Lilly are all pretty good about only using the litter box to pee 90% of the time but they are horrible about the poops. . . I think some of it was a territorial issue though because the area around the gate to Lilly’s room and a few of the other “common” areas have been the worst for me. I’m hoping that they can stay together now and the territory issue might die down a little for me.
congrats angoragrl!
Do you have one “community” litter box for all 3 of them when they’re out or do you have one for each of them containing their own scent ?
I’m at my wits end with Frosty. I had this really great stainless steel litter box made just for him, with a grated top to keep his fur clean and he just will not use it……well, I take that back, there’s some poops in there because he sits in it to drink his water…….but it’s the pee that’s so darn annoying because he can pee a river !!! I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong with this guy. He’s neutered and will be a year old in July *sigh*
Oh well……what can ya do but love ’em anyway
thats awesome angoragirl!!! you *are* a very lucky bunnymum that they all get along so nicely ![]()
Has Lilly been spayed yet? Maybe once she is spayed the territory poops will lessen.
That is about what I would expect from little Acorn too :~) It does sound promising. I guess these angoras are pretty laid back which is probably a good match with Acorn.
Lucky you. I hope to eventually bond my trio of little brats (I mean buns…lol)
This whole weekend went pretty well. I did end up seperating the boys and Lilly on Saturday night because Acorn had been chasing her a lot but they have been together ever since then.
The boys like to spend time down stairs and Lilly hasn’t ventured down there yet so she spent a lot of time with me this weekend. I was extremely surprised yesterday when she jumped up on the couch with me and actually sat on my lap for about an hour! She always sat on my feet when I was in her room but that is quite different then having a ball of fluff contently sleeping on your lap.
I caught Acorn grooming Lilly yesterday. . . He might have just been confused and thought it was Henri though <img alt="
” src=”http://www.rabbitsonline.net/images/emoticons/tongue.gif” />. For the most part, they are all still ignoring each other. I think Acorn gets a little jealous sometimes but they are doing very well together. . . cross your fingers it continues!

I have like 6 litter boxes around the house. Three of them are the big under the bed type boxes, one is a huge cat litter box (Lilly stole it from the cats, lol) and there are a few other smaller cat type and rabbit litter boxes around. I need to get them all grated because everything sticks to the velcro bunnies.

Lilly isn’t spayed yet. She is actually still a little underweight. We are also dicovering some other problems (with her wool, and a curve in her spine) that are probably a result of bad breeding. . . I’ll do a new Lilly update with all that information later on today.
OMG! OMG! OMG! First I must apologize, my camera’s batteries are charging so I don’t have a picture of this but I am sitting here watching Acorn groom Lilly!!!!!! Henri just hopped up so they are all together, this is no case of mistaken identity!!!!! I AM THE LUCKIEST BUNNY MOM!!! Henri’s just looking around like “uh, what’s going on guys? ” . . . oh wait!! now he is snuggling with Lilly!!! OMG!!! Why does it have to take forever for my batteries to charge????
Lol, sorry about that, I was literally describing the exchange as it happened. . . They have been together since this weekend but it is just now that they are actually starting to spend time together. . . they pretyt much have the whole house so up till now the boys and Lilly were pretty much avoiding eachother aside from a few minor exchanges. . . . oops, I gotta go though, Henri is trying to get into the trashcan again!
Congratulations! Trios can be a hassle but I suppose they just got used to one another.
You may want to check with your vet if they would be nice enough to house both Acorn and Henri while Lily gets her surgery. It would help keep the bond together if they could see each other during the whole thing.
you are so lucky! it must just be b/c you have 3 stellar buns!
