my husband brought home a nice, big piece of wood to use as the base of rue’s cage.  it’s now 3 squares by 3 squares, with a shelf in one corner (made of 3 squares).  square footage wise, it’s a little bit smaller than rue’s previous setup, which was 2 squares by 7 squares.  will it be big enough for both rue and nut puppet after they’re bonded?  right now, they are each out of their cages for half of the day, so once they are living together, the cage door will probably only be shut at night.  if both buns were small like rue, i probably wouldn’t be worried, but nut puppet’s HUGE, and getting bigger!

I think it needs to be at least 3 squares by 7 squares. Puppet will be a large bun and the more space he has to stretch out in any configuration the better. Heck even 4 by 7 would be better.

You need at least an xpen’s worth of space (4×4 feet) for the Flemish Giant by himself. Have you considered just doing two combined xpens with lino for the floor?

this is almost 4×4. the board is EXACTLY 4’x4′, and there’s about 3″ of overhang on each side.

we’ve still got time to work it out, puppet’s neuter is on the 16th. this was just free, and the hubs immediately thought of my buns.
