Is anything on this list bad for bunnies? I was going to sprinkle it on top of their pellets as a treat.

        Chammomile

        Blackberry leaves

        lemon grass

        rose petals

        spearment leaves

lemon balm leave     (don’t know what that is)

        hibiscus flowers

        lavendar flowers

        marigold flowers

I know marigold, rose petals, lavender and blackberry petals are. Not sure about the others.

the only one I’m not sure on is lemongrass. Not sure if toxic, I’m guessing not as it is a food….though it might be the one thing they turn there noses up at.

I put some in my hand and gave some to Bee, she smooshed her face in it then bounced off. Oh well it was worth a shot. Maybe Bun will like it.

                            Hubby said no

Silly me went to the bunny show nearby today.. wanted to see tons of buns. And did I ever. Saw some mini Moosies, and a little baby black nethie boy thats a Monkey twin. Some fluffball lionhead babies, tons of loppies, saw a blue eyed white lop that was just adorable…

*sighs* I must be a masochist lol.

I so hijacked your thread sorry >.>

My guys love blackberry branches, they eat leaves and stems.  I usually break off the thorns first.   They have also had marigold blooms, but only DJ seems to really like flowers, the girls not so much.

When I was transporting the buns up here I gave them a couple of marigolds…they ate them right up. At that point they might have tried anything. Didn’t get too many treats before…now they are spoiled rotten.

Chammomile – Unsure, but I don’t see why they wouldn’t be safe.

                                    Blackberry leaves – Unsure.

lemon grass – I don’t see why it wouldn’t be safe.

rose petals – As long as you know they’re not treated with pesticides. Feeding flowers from a florist isn’t a good idea.

spearment leaves – Certainly fine, these are a bunny favorite.

lemon balm leaves – Definitely safe, I give those all the time.

                                    hibiscus flowers – Unsure.

lavendar flowers – Unsure, but I’ve heard of people feeding them to bunnies.

marigold flowers – I’ve given these before and the bun was fine, so I’d assume they’re safe
