The heavens part…aHhhhh!!! My three buns finally get along well enough to live in one cage instead of three individual cages. That was a nightmare to clean.

Here are some pictures of Cheddar, Poopy, and Meatball’s new three story house. My boyfriend built it for them like seven months ago and they finally are getting along. My co-worker gave me the “BEWARE OF ATTACK RABBIT” sign which I love.

Is that wire flooring? If so, you’ll want to cover the wire. It isn’t good for bunny feet

Wow, looks great! I like the little star ornaments hanging up there

Agreed with monkeybun though; make sure that they have plenty of non-wire flooring so that their little footsies don’t get hurt!

Haha, Poopy’s giving us the butt by the 3rd pic! What did you use as the base? The big grey tray?

Yes, they have three rest mats to ensure that their precious feet don’t get sore hocks. The bottom is just big litter tray and the cage is held off the ground by stilt like things.

Have you considered making a C&C cage? I think it would give them much more space. They look a bit cramped in this cage, in my opinion.

I was also wondering if you would consider attaching an XPen to the entrance to give them more space. This would be good for their sleeping time, or meals, but three bunnies need room to stretch and play, so it might be helpful to build on an attachement that they can run around in.

I love that sign, too! Tried to find it in a store near here once, but they only had cats that day. (Maybe they tried to sell the Bunny sign but were attached by vicious bunnies in the process.)

I also thnk that with three bunnies it would be good to have a bit more room for them.  Pam’s idea of adding an xpen is a great way to do that.  Before I had a bunny room, I made cubed structure, but with three bunnies (at the time), it still felt a bit cramped, so I added a pen around to the front and that helped alot.

Congratulations on your trio getting along now.  That’s wonderful. I understand how time consuming and tiring it is to have separate structures to clean along with separate play times out.    So with all three getting along, things will be much easier now!

Thanks for the suggestions. They get free roam of the house 6 hours a day, so they get plenty of time to run and play.

That’s good – it’s quite a feat to get a trip bonded, so kudos to that.

                            Ditto the kudos!

I just noticed your placement of the water bottles – that’s clever.

Yes, it was quite the feat to bond those stinkers. I call them stinkers but they are my loves!! They are still a little nippy at times.
