we’ve done this before but we have many new people on BB now (YAY!)
tell us about your screenname…
how did you come up with it? your name, nickname, pet, fav song/book/movie?
does it have special meaning for you or is it in memorial of someone or something?
is it unique for BinkyBunny or do you use it for other sites as well?
feel free to say as little or as much as you’d like to…
Beka27:
my full name is Rebekah (yes, the biblical spelling thanks to my parents. i never could find personalized name items growing up.)
i’ve gone by “Beka” for as long as i can remember.
the 27 is due to an inside joke betw/ my childhood best friend and i. it’s our lucky number now. 10+ years later, we still use it in conjuntion with screenames, passwords, pin numbers, you name it.
i use this particular SN for most every site. it’s my ol’ standby. if it’s somehow taken, i will use a variation of my last name.
KokaneeandKahlua after my first two bunnies I use it for my photobucket account but I don’t really have anything else that requires a screen name. It’s taken on much more meaning now that Kokanee’s gone to the bridge.
kralspace — a play on words given to my first office in this company. I started out being the freelance artist that came in at odd times, and I was given a real closet to work in. Just enough room for a small drafting table and my computer and one chair. (lots of shelves though)
That closet was also the way you got to the attic so everyone started calling it kralspace instead of crawlspace. (my last name is Kral) I go by that name quite a bit, now that I think of it…lol
Kathy
Mine comes from the fact that I’m a Lighting Designer…and female…
Originally, I was installing some software, and it always asks, “name”, “company name,” etc. I don’t have a company name. Started trying to come up with names…thought of Lightchic, and thought it had a cool ring. Except that there’s nothing chic about me! So Lightchick it was.
It’s sort of my online-community name. Myspace and whatnot. I’ll be 80 and still calling myself “Lightchick”–very stately and mature, I know!
Mine comes from the fact that I love bunnies!!
Mine is from about 9 years ago… It was taken from an inside joke between me and one of my best high school friends. There was an episode of The Simpson where Homer legally changed Marge’s name to Hooty McBoob and Chesty La Rue. My friend has a really big chest, so I came into class and called her Chesty La Rue. She had watched the episode the night before too, so she started laughing and said alright Hooty McBoob… We’ve refered to each other using these names ever since.
Bunnies have little puffy tails!!! Lol, I’m so creative!
My user name comes from a line of a very distasteful song that begins “Dig me now…” I just replaced the spaces with the letter x. I’ll leave it at that because the rest of the line (and even the title of the song) is not suitable for this type of message board! BTW, I created the sn when I was like 15!
My first bunny I named Mimzy and I’m his Mum! Simple as! ^_^
Unique to BB…Where else would I use this ID? lolz!

*Beka sneaks away to Google…*
almost two decades ago, I had mentioned to a friend of mine that I needed a cool screen name like she had. She said, “Markus, darling…” I forget what the rest of what she said was as I thought she called me Markus Darkling – which I thought was rather neat. But I shortened it Markusdark.
“Bob the Bunny” is in memory of my first pet rabbit… I use it only for rabbit related forums!
Bunnballet- when honey first binked, my boyfriend said it looked like she was clicking her heels together like ballerinas do when they do jumps =]
Lion_Lop – I started out with Lionheads and Holland lops… now have mini rexes and a dutch but oh well. My babies are also Lionlops (Lionhead x Lop).
my username is my name….Kaitlyn, and the ily part means i love you
I have a friend who moved to Saudi. I still email her about the antics my buns do. When I first started emailing her about them she would email me back and ask how is everything in bunnytowne. I liked it so I kept it and use it here n there.
I did see the cartoon once too.
jerseygirl sn created for BB. Bunny is Jersey and a girl. I’m a girl. All fits. Plus it had a ring to it probably due to film Jersey Girl. I’ve never seen the film but I looked it up to see what it was about. Film blurb said main character begins to realise “sometimes you have to forget about who you thought you were, accept who you are and acknowledge what makes you happy. ” I liked the sentiment and had that as my siggy for a little while.
I’m going away to google “dig me now” too!!
Markus – you realise we might all now refer to you as Markus Dar–ling ??
Ok Im back from googling…….
RACHEL! ……….and you were 15? LOL
Haha you guys will totally think differently of me now! Hahaha
well mine is obvious, mine and my partners names ‘kimberleyanddarren’ lol my nan would have shot you if you called me kim i dont know why but she always went on a rant about ‘kim is not your name, if we had wanted everyone to address you as kim we would have called you that’ and i think it rubbed off on me cuz now everyone calls me kimberleya and no-one calls me kim lol and darren is just darren lol
rabbitpam – in addition to the obvious, it actually came about just before I discovered BB.
I had abandoned my former email service after paying too much for 10 years and went with a freebie email service. My name for a long time was pametc, since I had freelance business in mind. I finally decided to go with something I’d remember and liked, even if it wasn’t business-like. (Unless you’re a shelter or vet.) Variations on “Bunny” all seemed taken. I actually like my full name, Pamela, but everyone always calls me Pam, plus it’s shorter to type.
Of course, what else would I use on a rabbit site?
Oh gosh… I think I’m blushing now! (Just found the lyrics!)
MooBunnay – just for BinkyBunny! It comes from the fact that my husband and I call each other “moose” as a pet name. This is because the first stuffed animal he ever bought for me was a moose, and then I bought him one so we both had our stuffed mooses (Jake and Murray!) and somehow that turned into us calling each other Moose. Then, when we started adopting rabbits, he said that I am not a Moose but a Bunny (and he says bunny weird, like BunnAY) – and so I said, well, I guess that makes me a “MooBunnay”!
lolz…Well that clears things up for me, Moo, I honestly thought you were MooBunnay because of that Sesame Street Xmas show with Elmo from a few years back where the elves are messing up making the toys and they made the cow plushie with the bunny ears that Santa called the “Moo Bunny”.
lolz…My bad! ^_^ I like your explanation better!
*is still searching for the lyrics*
Haha, yes and I’m sure you can assume how well-behaved I was as a young teenager… haha. Sorry, guysss (as least I’ll admit it)!
For poops and giggles – this is me when I was 15!
I hope ya’ll have a sense of humor, because that shirt is soley for giggles (can stating the obvious be offensive??).
I wanted a fun Mountain town kind of name for my Personal Chef Business. I started to look at names of Vineyards – Wolf Creek, Frogs Leap, CakeBread.
I like that Sage has the double meaning of being an herb and meaning wise. I love cats. Also in the 20’s, if you were cool – you were a “Hep Cat”.
So, the name became Sage Cat Cuisine! Notice the tail on my chef – he, he, he!
I can’t tell you how many people thought I made gourmet cat food. Does Frogs Leap Vineyards make wine for frogs?

Not so much a thread bump as a thread catapult….Just repeating Beka’s invitation from last september, seeing as we have even more new members and some “AKA’s” that changed names when the profile updates occured. So, please, do share…
Uh, lostbutnotforgot was just something I did on the spur of the moment and used it for most other sites. It was never because I was emo or depressed or anything. I did kind of grow out of it though since everyone thinks it’s kind of depressing and tends to make people wonder about me in online settings. So I came up with a new one. I had learned previously that names after animals aren’t good for me once they pass away, so I really had to think about it.
Kytkat was mine for a while. Kyt are the first letters of my first, middle and last names. Kat was just because. Then I joined x-box live and Kytkat was already taken. So then came the dorkiness that is Kytkattin.
Well, Furface is self explanitory on a pet forum. LOL Might run into trouble with it on a dating site, considering I’m a woman. LOL
I was petting a shed machine cat as I was joining a pet forum & realised that all my animals are kissy, nose rubbers so I constanly have a face full of fur.
Lol well my name is Cassondra (not a fan of my own name lol) my nickname growing up was Sondra but I babysat a lot of kids and they couldn’t say my name so they called me mommy Sonn or Sonny (not like Sonny Bono). It is pronounces like you are saying Song without the g. I rarely go by Cassondra or Sondra now almost everyone knows me as Sonn
Mine is pretty self explanatory, my initials and my last name ends in Mc so it turned into mac, I always get the ‘it looks like Mr. Mac’. Its so boring…hehe
My screenname is from the Lord of the Rings, because I’m a huge dork It’s actually the feminized version of an obscure male character from the books (not in the movies). It means something like “elf rider” and since I ride horses, I thought it was fitting. Brownie points if you can tell me what character the name is based on
I use it on other sites and I used it for AIM (when I actually logged on) so I’ve had it for quite a while now.
Oh, this is a fun thread!!!! My name comes from the fact that I am Flipper’s mom
!!!! Flipper being my son’s nickname!!! He is a hockey goalie and if you know anything about the sport, you know that all goalies have some type of nickname!!!! His is derived from our last name – Filipiak – has been there since he was 7 (will turn 13 the end of the month), and is alway represented as a dolphin incorperated somewhere on his goalie helmet!!!! And since most kids can’t remember or pronounce our last name, my hubby and I have become Mr & Mrs Flipper’smom/dad
!!!!!!! My first name is Judi, btw!!!!!
Well my sn I’ve used on several other websites accounts and I was to lazy to think of a new one (and was afraid I’d forget it )
For my sophmore and junior year of high school I was in ski club. I love bunnies and I was born in 1985 and graduated in 2003. I haven’t skied so much anymore, but that went more with bunnies than my regualar tenngirl03 screen name (tennessee girl 2003 graduate) I guess I always thought I’d move to TN, but when I got older I realized I couldn’t move away. But still love the state.
Skibunny, I was born in 1984 so we’re almost the same age! For some reason I always thought you were a few years older … maybe because you have a husband and most people my age aren’t married yet?? I dunno (disclaimer: I’m getting married in a few months, so I don’t know why I still think everyone my age is unmarried :-P) Or maybe you just sound so mature 😉

Haha, I don’t know about mature
Oh congrats! Isn’t the wedding planning so much fun
Yeah I still think that way too, there’s a few people from my class that are getting married but most have babies and aren’t married
I still don’t feel quit like I’m married as in just living with my best friend, it’s kind of surreal sometimes.
Well I’m some sort of the cake name on several sites. It comes from Eddie Izzard. (dressed to kill)
Here it is on you tube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNjcuZ-LiSY
We have a cat named Gloria, dog named Sheba and of course the bunny who is now 6 months. His name is Indy…but I seem to call him Bunsk most of the time.

I love Eddie Izzard! We have that DVD too. Little red cookbook, little red cookbook!
Mines kind of boring. Im VERY outspoken & hyper all the time so my friends started calling me Sassy. Sassy was already taken on here, so I added the girl hence SassyGirl.
It’s my name on myspace. And it’s my sig on my phone when I text- Sassyc/o2011
Skibunny: Oh yeah, wedding planning is great … not Haha, I’m so lazy; I wish I could afford to pay someone to do it for me
And congrats on living with your best friend. I feel the same way Best friends and bunnies

When’s the wedding? You ever need any tips (or someone to vent to) just message me, the stories I could tell!
I wish I was like 3 years older so I could get married without feeling like a dweeb.
So I didn’t know this topic was here! So I’m adding on. My sn… I dunno. Sibley was a big name in my city from around the turn of the (19) century. I started using it like 5 years ago or so. Not sure why I chose it, just did.
I chose to be Crayon because I enjoy names that are objects. And I particularly like that object as well as the word itself.
In my mind I pronounce it cray-on with two distinct syllables even though some might say it more like cran.
As a kid crayons were given to keep me (and kids in general) busy at restaurants, waiting rooms, and when visiting relatives and
I always loved coloring.
Even now I love to draw with crayons. I have used this name on another site for aquariums. Hence the avatar. (I’m the yellow crayon!)
mine is my full name i know its like really bad to put your first and last name online, but seriously, WHO is going to stalk me or steal my identity? I’m a college student with no money who’s studying to be a teacher with no money and I have an obsession with bunnies.
‘Itsy-bitsy, ietsy-pietsy’ … — Petzy. My friend uses this word.
I’m the youngest in my family.

mmmm… so the characters I’m thinking are not obscure. So are you meaning what character the name you created is based on?
My guesses are Eowyn (meaning horse lover, has Rohan connection i,e, “rohwen”?)
Or
Arwen (half elf “EL” rides horses – elf rider) Maybe connecting to character Elrohir her brother?
I am not a Tolkien buff, I just like guessing games!

You got it with Elrohir! Nice job. Do you want a cute but pain in the butt lop eared bunny as your prize? (Just kidding, Otto! I won’t send you to Australia )
”El” means elf, usually, “roh” means horse, and “hir” was the masculine part of the name that I changed to “wen”. I guess he’s not that obscure, but people who’ve only seen the movies are shocked that Arwen even has brothers
Mine is the usual “screen name ” that I use – it’s a cut down version of my name. My last name is ZDRODOWSKI and it’s bad enough that *I* have to spell it. No one else shoudl have to.
In college, I was the head of the Film Board – we showed movies on campus 6 days a week so I had a LOT of room reservations to make every quarter. Some computer person over in Campus Res just started typing “Wendy Z*ski” at the top of every page, so it sort of stuck.
Mine is pretty easy, it’s my name and the year i was born: Isabelle88, i use this SN when i want to keep it simple, another SN I use at my website is IzzyFiction88, Izzy is a nickname given to me online, everyone in my real life calls my by my fall name, and i used fiction because I’m a big reader and writer
bunnycutie- because bunnies are cute! uuummm. i don’t have much else to say but i think that buns are so freakin adorable! LOL.

I guess he’s not that obscure, but people who’ve only seen the movies are shocked that Arwen even has brothers
I meant the chicks (E and A) weren’t obscure, I think the twin bros are though. I only found the name through online search
Funny coincidence, there was a thread in Rescue Forum titled Eowyn and Arwen (beeeyootiful bunnies) so that helped me some too!
I had two bunnies at the time (Pudge and Polo) and they’re lops = 2lops. Creative? ..very.
*reads some posts*
Oooh, for some reason I always thought RabbitPam’s user was some inside joke about rabbits and a cooking spray……*hmm*
LOL ^^ Now we should start telling about what we thought other peoples sn’s meant! Like earthisours – which I thought was some sort of dinosaur reference until I deciphered it read “Earth is ours” – duh!
jerseygirl, i thought you were from new jersey! i was going to even ask how you ended up in australia…
then i noticed your bun’s name is jersey. it was a big, “oooh” moment for me. or “aha” moment, like that one commercial.
Well, mine is so original I bet no one figured it out.HAHAHA. Guess what my name is. Debbie. On one of the guinea pig sites I’m Deb’s4Pigs. Original again.
I use Daisy1029 as my screen name on everything.
When I was in school and we first got the internet my parents would not let my brother and I use our names. So I chose Daisy as my “stage name” on the internet. I chose Daisy because its my favorite flower and I just think they are simple, sweet and friendly ( kind of like me ). 1029 is my birthday- October 29th.
Moonlight_wolf is just because I like wolves and when you think of wolves you think of the moon too. So there it is moonlight_wolf.
I use that screen name for everything except for sites that don’t allow underscores. In that case I use the screen name Jenrefen, I use that because my sister’s friend called my sister jenrifen when she was in second grade, she was my favorite of my sister’s friends and then she moved to Texas so the name is kind of in memory of her.
Jerseygirl, whenever I saw your name I used to think it was that because jerseys (Aka sweaters) are warm and fluffy, like bunnies and I thought you called your bunny Jersey because she was warm and fluffy, and then named yourself after her.
Jerseygirl, I used to think you were a Bruce Springsteen fan! but then I felt a connection between Jersey’s spots of light brown which resemble milk chocolate and I thought of Jerseymilk bars.
Tehehe! How funny – I like all these alternate reasons for my sn! A chocolate bar in a sweater moshing at Bruce Springsteen concert in NJ?
But yeah, pretty much it’s because my bungirl’s name is Jersey.
She is kinda named for the Jersey cow but mainly after Jersey Caramels – a sweet we have here.
I didn’t even know about the song (currently loading it on youtube!) Just going off on a tangent – when my best friend and I were about 4yrs old, we used to pretend we were ringing Bruce “Bringspring” up for a date!! We didn’t even really know who he was, just that her older sister liked him. We must have been very forward girls, asking men out on a date -lol!
“Bringsteen” How cute, at 4 years old you did that? Well, blame it on the older sis!
–I want some of those caramels… and they are just the color of your Jersey, even have the white in them. Jersey is a soft sweet caramel girl….
