The party is on my bed at 3 a.m.

So yesterday I responded to a question about night cages/rattling/free range buns. I wrote that Coco goes to sleep when I do, or so I thought.

At about 3 a.m. last night, I woke to a binky crazy racing rabbit in bed with me. Leaping over me. Doing the 500 around me. Binky then stop and ran over to excessively groom my hand.

When she realized I was awake – she looked kind of disgusted and hopped off the bed back to her “spot”.

I think maybe that this goes on much more frequently than I think and that she was a bit embarassed at being caught.

Then again – I am a very sound sleeper once out, so it is entirely possible that she does this whole routinue every night. My reserved proper bunny goes crazy once I fall asleep and does her happy dance back and forth over me!

I get this when I’m asleep too, I find the same thing…as soon as Layla realises I’m awake she gets cross at me and gives me bunny butt, on the floor, a long way away.

Now when ever she does something random at night, I just pretend I”m asleep & try desperately not to laugh!

Thats funny rofl    she gets mad cause you woke up ahahahaha.  I am a sleep like the dead too.  But my bed is too high off the floor and hubby doesnt’ want them in the bedroom so …..

when he was away Cotton and Laith would come every 2 hours and dig in my hair I had to ball it up and stick a pillow over it.  Then Cotton got smart and  would dig under the pillow.  When they started peeing on the bed that was it though.

OH gosh.  I do wonder if your bun does this every nite    but you happened to wake up ahaha  Racetrack Bun.

One night a few weeks ago I was up and couldn’t sleep…all of a sudden Kahlua was on the bed binkying all over Dave and I. I have to assume she does it most nights Too funny!!

She’s probably “YEAH!! the hooomins are dead!! We’re free -FREE!! “

It happened again last night. I am beginning to suspect that Coco has a party every night that I am generally unaware of.

The craziest thing is that she licks the HECK out of my hand. I mean like ten straight minutes of licking and grooming. I am a bit concerned that I must generally sleep through this…

I think it is the way she maintains her cool, disapproving stance during the day – by loving the heck out of me in the middle of the night.

Maybe it is much harder than we humans think – maintaining this cool disapproving bunny persona.

Apparently I slept through it last night – but it woke my husband who said she was going crazy, leaping over each of us, then onto the floor to race then back up into the bed.

When he got up to make sure that cat wasn’t chasing her ( she wasn’t – but she was laying on the corner of the rug looking disgusted and waiting for a human to wake so she could go outside), Coco ran to the corner and groomed herself, pretending it wasn’t here.
