Cindy- she was my first girl.  She was the sweetest thing, unfortunately we lost her to cancer last year. She lived to be eleven.

My first boy, Frodo, was still able to meet her.  They got along wonderfully.

Oh they are all so adorable!  Well at least Cindy lived a good long life.  I just hate to say anything negative here but wire cage floors are very very bad for bunnies feet. It does look like you let the buns out though but if you still have that wire floor you need to cover it with something like a piece of linoleum or plastic or even some towels. As you know bunnies can be litter box trained so I’m wondering if you thought that having them poop etc thru the wire is easier…

Since we really only have bunnies in the house, they are out of their cage for the majority of the time and really only use it to go to the bathroom and to eat.  I have heard that wire flooring can cause sore hocks, but if they are not in the cage for the majority of their lives, it really is efficient for maintenence and the overall health of their environment.  I definitely agree though if they weren’t out as often, another method of caging would be more comfortable for them.  Also, they tend to ingest whatever is put there which causes more internal problems.  I have just found it better for them to have free range of a bunny-proofed home.

That baby picture of Frodo flipped over on your lap is the friggin’ cutest thing I’ve ever seen! Had to get that out of my system.

What a gorgeous family of bunnies! Was it hard bonding them all?

Free range buns are the best! Are they all bonded together?

Frodo and all of the girls have gotten along fabulously.  The bucks were a little bit more difficult to bond.  Hendrix was very agressive at first and we got him from a rescue so his past is very murky.  It took a few months, but now they are all a family.
