Ok, so I was worried little miss princess AKA Abbie wasnt able to stand up all the way in much of her cage so we did a bit of remodeling…. I added a whole new floor and another look out spot for miss Rain should she choose to use it.. neither of the girls have been all the way to the top but at least I know they have MORE THAN ENOUGH room to explore and be busy during the day

These are two lucky bun’s if you ask me!

Oooh I like that .. hey you could still go up one more level sos in line with the cupboard LOL.

And I like the way it fits nicely in the space between the cupboard and the wall … out of the way.

Great new addition! Coco Puffs, haha! At first I thought, hey rabbits shouldn’t be eating that sugary and chocolately cereal and then the light bulb went off…OH YEAH you mean poo. LOL

I COULD do another level but its already very big lol.. im afraid if i go any higher with it the dowels wont be enough support. They seem to like the extra addition so far… Abbie has even ventured up to the “Rabbit lookout spot”

ADEE I think you are right about another level. It would need more structural support, I haven’t braved a 4th level and probably won’t for the same reason. The condo you made is so neat!

O.o The mansion grew ANOTHER foot..!? I’d be alarmed if it just grew one!! How many feet does it have!?! I’d have the radiation levels in there tested..

If the grids are 14″ tall.. and the cage is four grids tall then its 56″ 56″/12″=4.666667 tall… so its just shy of 5′ tall. The entertainment center is VERY tall! Its well over 6′ if my memory serves me… Im 5’8″ and I cant see the back of the entertainment flip up storage without standing on something…. Ill have to get a picture of me standing next to it to see just how bit it is. Not to mention the cage is over 3ft wide and equally as deep. The fouth floor is not a full size landing (like the 3rd floor) because I didnt want too much weight up there which is why its only 14″ wide… Its enough room for one rabbit to get up there and sprawl out but thats about it. That corner is perfect for the cage!! When we moved into that Condo we had intentions of putting the cage there.

Are your openings staggered so if either bunny slips and falls from a level, she’ll land on the next level rather than all the way down? I always get nervous about heights for bunnies to jump or fall since I saw Spockie hesitate and stop jumping up on my new, slightly higher, bed. Sometimes his grip wasn’t great if his nails needed trimming also.

Otherwise it’s a very neat solution to their size difference. You sound like you’re enjoying doing things for Abbie.

Yes, the levels are staggered so if they fall off one they will fall to the next floor.. that was devised so they wouldnt fall all the way to the floor. I had the third floor more to the left to make it even bigger staggard effect but the girls had a hard time jumping up and down the levels, I would like to get a few more dowels and thicker wood for the levels. I love doing things for the girls and im sure Rain appreciates the extra space too!

:ETA: now that ive looked at the photos again i suppose one of the girls could fall off the “Rabbit lookout” and fall to the next landing! Now you have me freaking out going to buy more wood TODAY to fix it…

Mine are staggered that way too, even little Toby hops up and down. I did buy several cheap doormats to put both on the lower level where they jump from and on the upper where they land so they can ‘get a grip’. They have the rubber backs so they don’t move.

Typically there is a kitchen rug on the first floor (With the grip) I had pulled it out and washed it which is why in the second picture the cage is resting on a towel… Abbie isnt quite perfect yet with her litter habits so we have to have something to catch the pee and keep it out of my grout

Thanks Pam… lol, Im a mom so its only natural for me to think of the worst possible scenario!!! I would be absolultly heart broken if something happened to my girls. Its the main reason i have put off chipping them too
