        Hi there everyone!

I recently got an adorable little bun name Archie and I’m having a hard time litter training him. I’ve had two bunnies in the past, I was much younger and had help from my parents, but I do not recall both of them being this hard to train. It hasn’t been long since I got Archie, so I’ve been trying to give him some time, but I am constantly cleaning up after him and I feel like it takes away the time I could spend playing/cuddling him. Any tips?

I’ve read through tons of post and have done everything I’ve seen, other than neuter him. I’d rather not if I can help it, but I did read that not neutering a bunny will make it difficult for them to be potty trained.

Any help is welcomed and appreciated!

          Welcome!

Do you mind elaborating on what you have been doing to train him?

When a bunny is first brought home, lots of people recommend to limit their space in a pen for a few days so they get used to the environment first and you can kickstart litter training from there. If they’re free to roam since day 1, it’s quite likely that they will pee and poop everywhere to mark territory since everything is new.

You are right in saying that lots of unfixed bunnies will never really learn because of hormones, but there are also exceptions My bunny Kurotta has not been neutered yet (he’s just over a year old) and his litter habits are excellent. I’ve come to know that he’s a rare gem though!
