The five buns I belong to!

I had to start all over! oopsie…

I spend so much time reading here….I forget to post!

So I finally got the camera and time this weekend, so here are the most recent pictures of my bunnies! All of are rescue bunnies in one way or the other! I can’t tell you how much joy they bring our family….yes even when I am cleaning up after them!

First is a picture of Nala  our Lionhead Lop, Thumper and Titan Lops, Snowball the Albino, and my first and silliest bunny Trix aka Trixster!

I wish I could have a mansion, fill it with timothy hay and bunnies and laugh my giggle my life away….

No….they don’t.

But I have had them spend time with each other to see who is a good fit for who.

I just got two of them fixed. Which would be Trix & Titan.

Thumper is next.  Then Nala.  She has a litter on the way. ugh  Snowball which is the youngest will be the last.

My husband made the mistake of putting her and Thumper together…while I was out of town , and well you know how that goes. 

For now she is in with Trix & Snowball and they all get along fine.

Thumper and Titan are buddies.

I also trade out bringing them up to my room to stay.  They have huge “bunny” boxes in my basement …..and I can’t bring them all up at once or the fur flies. So I trade out each day so all of them get time to bounce around the house. Then sometimes they have sleepovers in my room where I keep the smaller seperation cage.

Thumper is the one who stays upstairs most of the time, he begs to get out….and loves to follow me around the house like a puppy dog! He is the auneriest one….the smartest one and the most social. I have had to really work with him, he was my biter..aargh. He gave up after many screeches, shunning sessions that resulted in him throwing fits when I grounded him to his bunny room! Truth be told, he is my fav ~ssssh~ don’t tell ! 

Nala & Titan are newer, both are skittish and I am still working with them.  And Snowball is very docile.  Trix ..well his name fits him, the  trixster….hilariously entertaining and hyper…dangerously curious and busy!

oh my gosh!  you live in Lakewood?  i live in North Olmsted on Clague right off 480!  you are so close to me!!!  beautiful bunnies.  that’s something else that your husband put them two together and now she’s expecting.  whoops.  at least you’re planning on having the rest of them altered.  when is she having the babies?

So…when the babies come….you could post some pictures mabye?

OK they are all gorg, but I think your lops stole my heart-especially ‘lazy bunny’ titan? and Trixie OMG I need to give her a little cuddle!!

Thank you LittlePuffyTail !    I am a huge animal lover…if I posted all the pics here you would be looking for the Entering Zoo sign…I would but I don’t want to get  people all up in arms here because my husband rescues reptile, including rather large snakes…and I am sure they would think we feed bunnies to them, which we don’t!!! EVER!  In fact my Albino is a rescue from a breeder/feeder farm one of our friends went to…with my husband…and when the guy tried to feed Snowball to the snake it didn’t want it…so my husband brought it home for me….   Sadly, there are just as many abused and neglected reptiles around as there are our furry creatures! 

The quote in my sign line….it how I truly feel in my heart and why I fell in love with bunnies!

It is truly a small world Beka! You are correct you are literally less than 10 minutes from me! Funny because the board i moderate I met a girl who lived in Lakewood, after months of chit chatting we actually met for coffee ….very interesting experience! We could be walking down the street and never know! LOL

And yes my husband is a noob sometimes…he said I can’t keep track wiht who’s who….and he is not as educated about bunnies…and how prolific they are,,he is thinking of our dog and cat…..I said NO…bunnies OMG ….they are in HEAT all the time>>LOL

So well know he knows…the hardest thing will be giving them up….my kids will drive me nuts..and i will fall in love with them!!!!

Thank you Koka (I am shortning your name…too much too type, LOL ….Yes they are a lot of work..but I have my husband and boys who don’t mind…ane we built the pens to be very “user cleaning friendly” ….and they more than make up for the chores by making me so very happy!

Yes I know Titan is one of our newest….he had the same owner for years…he is about 4 now..and she has to move to take care of her mom…she was trying to give him to the pet shop…when my husband was there shopping…they refused , she was outside in tears….and well here he is…he is very sweet….but totally lazy!

i hate to have you counting your bunnies before they’re born… but maybe… (maybe) i’d be interested in taking one off your hands.  maybe.  it’s obviously a ways to go before they’re ready… and i wouldn’t want you to feel pressured that you’d have to… just an idea if you had a little boy.

awe so adorable I would have bunnies all over the place if I could but I have hard time with my back and space is limited but worst of all I can only have 1 here. oh noooo. that I hate. I could sneak some in tho. but too much for me and cotton well he is enormously jealous I am glad you are able to care for them all. how wonderful.

So….question now…Your husband saw her in tears trying to take her bunny to the petshop as she was moving….Does this mean your husband arranged for you to have Titan!?!? I’m in shock you are soo lucky!! I have to beg and beg for new bunnies!! LOL!

I am not 100% sure she is pregnant, although I would find it hard to believe, since well they were indeed doing the deed….but if she is they should be here in about 3 weeks….and well you know the weaning time. That would be awesome! So I will definantely keep you in mind!

We will stay in touch here and if she is I will keep you updated! Maybe she will just have one! Right..LOL  

 

Yes I said my Husband, was at the petshop getting bunny litter…and witnessed what happened..Of course they are only interested in baby bunnies. Thsi was a long time pet and she was so upset she didn’t know what to do! Truth be told, as much as he says he “doesn’t like furry critters ….and loves his reptiles…he absolutely adores Thumper….and well all of them…and he brought home 2 of the five I have….

He loves them, and after all I have been through this last couple of years with depression and my son’s …he was so excited to see me laugh like a little girl. I think he thinks the more bunnies the more laughs….and well it apparently is working…He is now CUTOFF from bringing anything home! Once I see them I am done!

Awes, what adorable lil balls of fluff! ^^ My hubby brought my bunny home for me after some cruel person abandoned him and two of his buddies in front of our business. Don’t understand peeps like that, but hey, their loss was my gain!
If I had to play faves, I would have to snuggle your little ‘lazy bun’. I am a bigtime softie for the spotty loppies! ^^
I have never seen so many black bunnies since I got here! Gosh they are all so beautiful. And you are so fortunate to have such an understanding hubby! Kudos!

oh i see.  we’ve had folks on here who had a vet examine their rabbits and they could not tell they were pregnant even the week before the birth.  of course, if she’s not pregnant… DO NOT  GET HER PREGNANT ON MY ACCOUNT!!!!!  lol…. that’d be bad…  it’s just an idea.  i mentioned to my husband (tentatively) about this today because he’s always saying “no more bunnies… GRRRR!”  but he is a big softy when it comes to Meadow and he has a hard time saying no to fuzzy cuteness.  i’m excited to hearing more about your guys… i love it when people have zoos in their house… that’s so cool!
