I heard about this dance of love thing from my sister. What is it? My sister says the bunny will nip you and go around you in circles…is that true?Does it hurt?

Ah the bunny dance of love. Yes they will often run circles around you and they can nip, sometimes it does hurt, sometimes it doesn’t. Usually it happens with single bunnies and be careful with them underfoot. If it does hurt you can squeal to let them know it does hurt (sometimes they just don’t know).

if not fixed already… that is a good indication of when it’s time to book your rabbit to get altered.  it’s cute for about the first two days, but then it starts to get kinda annoying, especially as it happens more and more frequently.  depending on how hard your rabbit bites, it may hurt.  sometimes rabbits will also scratch at your feet or legs.

It will probably not make you bleed. I have a bunny that does this, and he will first give my leg a poke with his nose, then a little nip. Its pretty funny. He is very mild mannered about it however because he is neutered, so he is not aggreesive like an un-neutered male bunny would be.

I wouldn’t worry too much about it. You make it sound dangerous, but it’s much more playful! It’s just bunny hormones <3 Hahaha

Cadbury did this to me before I got her spayed.  She would run in circles around my ankles making this weird honking noise.  She didn’t nip, but I had to be very careful not to step on her!  She stopped once I got her spayed…

Lilly did this right before she was spayed. I knew it was time, lol. However, now if I go sit in her pen with her she will run circles around me and nip my back! I can’t figure out if she wants me out, or if she just loves me! hahaa.
