I wanted to thank everyone who sent me best wishes for my Louie to get better and condolences for when he passed on.

You all helped me get through the worst in so many ways.  I really couldn’t have gotten through this without you.

As the days go on it does get a little easier to deal with the grief.  I will always have my moments of crying but I think that is all part of my healing process.  My dd and I were reminicing about when he was a baby and how he would always attack me whenever I wore a long nightgown.  He would come out of nowhere and growl at me.  He was so small at the time and thought he was this big bully.  So funny.  He was just such a great bun as I am sure all of yours are too!  They really do make great pets and I’m glad I still have my Norma to pet and play with.  Even though her and Louie didn’t bond I do see some signs of her missing him.  It’s so sad 

Again, thank you all, it really meant alot to me to have so much support.  This board is really entruly a loving and fantastic board

There are thoughts that rabbits can still form a semi-bond, even if they are not physically living together, so it is possible that little Norma is sad also. Give her lots of bunny kisses for us. And hugs for you…

I agree with Beka and you.    Norma truly does seem to miss Louie from what you said.

Even if they didn’t bond the fact that there was another bunny in the house probably made her feel better.   Just knowing another of her kind was there. 

I see that in Cotton when Ruby is in the being hidden.   They aren’t bonded either. 

When Laith passed he was looking all over fo Laith.   Didn’t take me long to realize that and move his empty cage outside. 

Giving Norma more special attention will help her and you too.

There are a lot of nice caring people here.   Thats what the support is for
