As you all know I am very new to bunny ownership.  I am here every day because of my new found obsession and I love this forum!

I joined another forum a couple of days after I joined this one but I rarely visit “over there”.  There are so many breeders, and though they seem very nice and are willing to give advice to new bunny owners I just can’t bring myself to share space with anyone who breeds.

So, I want to send a big THANK YOU! to Binky Bunny for making this site available to bunny owners like me who love their mutt bunnies every bit as much as we love our pedigreed pets.  Thank you for being involved in rescue and education.  And thank you for understanding that those of us who buy our bunnies rather than adopt are either removing the bunny from horrendous conditions or bringing a breed that isn’t found in rescue into our families.

As someone who is active in rescue, my feeling is that no matter how you get your bunny, once the bunny is yours the primary thing I am concerned with is that the bunny is house, fed and cared for properly and does not end up dumped at a shelter or worse.  Some people really want a certain kind of bunny (I’d love a Flemmie one day myself) and that is OK too.

I am pleased that you feel you are getting the advice you need from Binky Bunny.  I think this forum, and this site in general, is a great resource, and I refer people here while counseling new adopters.  I look forward to hearing more about your bunny!

yes although its better to get from a shelter, bunnies who arent in shelters often need rescuing too, take my Daxter he was with a horrid woman before i got him and not being looked after at all properly! i too am very grateful for BB and for all the friends i have made since being a part of this wonderful community, i also havent found another website where i will keep coming back again and again, nor is there one where i am actively checking every five minutes whenever it goes down! hehe

Yep, I’m an addict. I never knew what I never knew (hehe always wanted to say that) until I found binkybunny and Charlie is so much happier for it. Layla will not have to go through the interesting attempts of bunnyproofing or suffer the effects of a diet too rich in carrots and pellets because now I am a more informed pet owner – thanks to BinkyBunny.
As soon as I meet a fellow Canberra bunny owner I’m going to recommend this site! And Charlie & Layla owe their NIC condo to you guys, such a simple idea, so brilliant.
