I have three cats. All three have been in my room since I’ve had the bunnies (I always have the door closed, but I let them see each other a couple times because the buns are used to being around other animals like cats).

One of my cats just came in for the third time since I’ve had the bunnies. He was scared the first time he came in but then was curious. So he was just curious about the bunnies. He sniffed at Pinky from like 20 inches away. Pinky was sitting in his litter box in his pen eating some hay. He then hopped out and walked toward my cat. He sniffed through the bars (they didn’t get very close) then looked at him a bit and turned around in the same spot then peed in that corner… He hasn’t been aggressive or scared of him before. He was curious before. I’m assuming he was telling my cat that this is his territory.

I want my cats to be able to come into my room whenever they want eventually, like they did before the bunnies. By the way, after Pinky peed he walked to the other side of his pen and flopped. I’m getting mixed signals here. I changed his blanket and wiped the spot with some vinegar and water. He’s fine now just laying down looking like a loaf of bread. My cat also sniffed his pee… Animals communicate strangely.

Pinky was in his pen by the way, my cat was outside of it.

Pinky is showing the cat whos boss 😆 peeing is one sign, flopping is another. Flopping can show comfort or superiority.’ I’m not afraid of you’ If Pinky was shy and timid, then I would say to keep the cat away, but he sounds pretty confident. Is Muffin shy or timid? I had a friend who had a timid rabbit die from a heart attack from a cat. Are your cat’s hunters? Maybe you could try bonding them, but I wouldn’t be so sure. There are other members here with more advice on that, hopefully, you find a solution!

@HipHopBunny Thanks for your info! That’s the only cat who seems more curious right now. The other two cats are scared of them right now (probably because they’re big bunnies).

Muffin seems okay, he’s further from my door so the cats look at Pinky more. But when they go look at Muffin he’s usually grooming and will stay at the front of his pen where the cats look. I think he sniffed a bit but doesn’t seem to care much yet.

Only the curious cat is kind of a hunter. He’ll watch bugs that come inside and poke them sometimes. But they’re indoor cats so they never hunt.

Muffin is also almost cat sized so I feel like he shouldn’t be too threatened if that makes a difference. He’s about 11lbs and Pinky is about 7lbs.

Thats really sad about the bunny that passed away. ):

I’m more worried about Pinky nipping the cats than the cats trying to hurt Pinky. Just because the cats are more scared and cautious around the bunnies. I hope they’ll all get along or tolerate each other and I’ll be able to cuddle my cats in my bed again.

That’s right, you do have big, tough bunnies! It sounds as though they will be the boss of the cats. 😆 I’m sure it will be fine, maybe some of the other members with bonded cats and rabbits will help you bond them, under the condition that you post pictures. 😛

@HipHopBunny Thank you!! Of course I would post pics! I really miss my cats being in my room though, so I hope they learn to get a lot soon. :/
