Not that I can afford one or anything right now.  lol  And I do kind of like sleeping on the floor with Lolli.  She will eventually sleep close to me.  Like a foot or so away, but still close.  It’s sweet.  Who knows…she might be hopping all over me at night!  lol

But does anyone have one of these beds?  How do you like it?  Has anyone tried it and not liked it?

My mom thinks I may need a new mattress.  My mattress is actually ok I guess.  I just don’t like being able to feel the springs digging into my hips when I try to sleep on my side.  But this could be because I have slept on my couch for so long.  Yes I know this is bad, but I have psychological issues when I try to sleep in my bed.  No matter how tired I am, my mind will start racing when I try to sleep in my bed sometimes.  Anyways, I just wanted to get some opinions of the tempur pedic beds.  lol

I would definitely get a new bed if you are feeling the bed springs!

My old twin bed effected my sleep. I never slept well. My dad didn’t notice until the Sleep Country people came to deliver my new mattress. The old one was loppy on one side and hard. I now have a full. Sleep country says to wait 45 days to bring it back because we have to get used. To it. The ones at the store are broken in. So far, I sleep like a baby on my full… zzzzzzzz

I’m not sure if I have a tempur pedic, but I do have a sleep country bed!

I have fallen asleep on the ground with Chacha many times but I wake up and go in my bed. What do you think of a futon bed or a pull out couch?

We were looking at both Tempurpedic and Sleep Number (Select Comfort) mattresses. We ended up going with the Sleep Number. The main reason was because the Tempurpedic mattress felt suffocating. It’s sort of hard to describe, but you sink into it and you feel like you can’t move. Haha! Maybe we thought the bed was going to eat us! Anyway, we went with the Sleep Number because it felt more like a regular mattress (except without the springs) and you could adjust the firmness between the two sides. I will warn you though. If you get the one with the big pillow top, you have to buy the $150 sheets from the Select Comfort store. I tried several sheet sets from regular stores that claimed to have extra deep sides (up to 20 inches some said). They won’t fit that mattress! You sit down on the bed and the sides pop right off! So yeah, you have to buy expensive sheets that are specially made for the bed. That’s only if you get the one with the big pillow top though.

I have herd tempurpedic beds let off heat and make you hot. That’s why I don’t like them.

Mocha – I had heard the same thing. Which I definitely cannot deal with being hot while sleeping.

Well thanks! Now I have some ideas. Sometimes I think maybe I should look into getting a regular mattress with a pillow top. lol

I have dealt with a lot of different joint pain, back pain and chronic headaches from my neck and shoulders. I do not like memory foam mattresses. I went to a mattress store we have here in WI called Verlo. I know they have them in IL too, just not sure where. They were wonderful!
With their help I was able to find a wonderful mattress. It does not have springs in it. It has a foam core and a 3 inch latex top. They told me that spring put too much pressure on your nerves and latex actually relieves that. I slept so well on that mattress that I actually went back and bought a latex foam pillow. You might want to do some research on latex to see if it would help with your back.
I hope you’re feeling better and glad Lolli is spending more time with you! =)

Oh no those tempurpedic  I tried one after 5 minutes my back started hurting oh dear.    plus I hear they are hot.   You get hot n sweaty   i get hot enuf all by myself i dont need a bed making it worse  lol

I have a sleepnumber.   I love it.    I had aproblem with it holding air.  The problem was I had the bed where the hose fits too close to the headboard.   that is the only problem i have had       i need a real hard mattress  and it works great.   it is very sturdy

if you sleep with someone else it may be best to get the 2 people kind where each person can adjust their side

sounds like you are single tho   anyhoo

you may want to get a waterbed frame from a thrift store.,    the foam support on the sides can start to curve after a few years   you can get new ones tho
