        Hello guys,
I own 2 happy buns since January. We feed them hay all day and a variety of greens twice a day.
My job requires me to travel a lot, but usually this is not a problem because my SO stays and takes care of them. Soon he might have to travel for a month. My question is: is it possible and more importantly okay to feed the bunnies once a day? I might have to go to multiple trips during this time and have to ask friends to stop in and feed them. I don’t know if they are able to come in and see them in the morning, but they should be able to feed them in the evening.
I just wonder if changing their schedule for a while is less stressful than bringing them multiple times to a bunny boarding place.
        I appreciate any answer!
        Thanks,
        Caroller

As long as they’re eating a good amount of hay around the clock, one meal will be just fine.

Hi Carroller, I agree that one greens meal should be fine. Your bunnies might not like our answer though!

My main concern is if something goes wrong with one of your bunnies. If it’s a situation where someone is just going to be stopping by once a day and they won’t be monitored other than that I would look for another option. If one of your bunnies gets sick, time can be crucial so it’s best to make sure they are monitored more than once a day.

They might be a bit miffed to start with but they’ll adjust. I think bunnies are better at adapting to change than we give them credit for As long as they’ve got tons of hay 24/7 they’ll be fine.

                Thank you for your answers!
Hopefully they will forgive me for it
I also have a cam and can see in case something is going on, so in the worst case help will be there quick.
