I think she enjoys the change in environment and is favorably stimulated by people walking by. You’ve got an outgoing adventurous rabbit.
My previous rabbit, Bunny, really enjoyed going outside. She’d sit by the door begging to go outside. She wouldn’t go outside on her own, so I had to accompany her. There were some bushes near the sidewalk in front of our house. She liked to lay there. She could watch, hidden, as people walked along the side walk…people out for a walk or walking their dog. I’ve sure she got a perverse enjoyment laying only a few feet away from an unsuspecting dog. It was pretty boring for me….big cup of coffee and a newspaper in the morning….and in the late afternoon, the same big cup filled with wine.
Bunny soon learned she got a lot of attention when we had visitors. She’d hop into the living room and strangers would be always acted surprised to see a loose rabbit in the house. Mischievous, a woman was setting at our dining room table, and Bunny snuck up and rubbed her face against the woman’s ankle. The woman looked down and saw this brown furry thing and just shrieked. Great fun for a outgoing rabbit.
