what is this new behavior?  Tail wagging? I saw Cotton wagging his tail just b4 going to try to get behind the couch again. I caught him and put him in his house. Then I put some NIC cubes around the couch so he can’t do that no more.

Then I let him out again.  He looked at me wagged his tail and ran right over to try to figure out how to get back behind the couch.  Well this time he cannot find a way in.  OH but he tried.  He stuck his head under his cat play house and lifted it off the floor. Then encountered the nic cubes.

Now that he has figured out he can’t get back there no more I haven’t seen him was his tail no more.

What a crazy rabbit. Silly boy.

Mr. Puddles does the same thing. Only he Does it right before he starts to bink. Maybe Cotton knew he was being naughty and thought it was funny. Sound like a cwazy wabbit!

Cute! Pretty sure LPT said Olivia did this too just before mischief or when in playful mood.  Is the tail wagging side to side or up and down?  When Jersey is scoping out something her tail goes out straight when she leans forward to peer, then back up again.  I have heard they can wag them side to side but have never seen it. Must look pretty funny!

I’ve only seen it happen side to side. It’s a rapid little flick. It is pretty cute and it does seem to be in the context of mischief.

I think it’s nautiness, and maybe remnant of the wild days (deer and rabbits have white underside to their tail, when being chased by a predator they wiggle the tail to get the predator to focus on the tail, then deek to the side and drop the tail, essentially fooling the predator) ; I’ve noticed in times of naughty chase only!

My boyfriends mom was looking after Kokanee while we were moving. At first she was scared of the stairs (we live in an apartment and don’t have any) growling and boxing at the stairs (likely thinking it was something rude the humans were doing to the floor to her to be mean) then she decided they were fun. My bfs mom would chase her to put her away and she’d go on the stairs, wiggle her tail and challenge her to an hour or more’s chase! LOL

Coco wags when she is being chased away from something ( digging…chewing etc) that she knows I don’t want her to do.

                      It is kind of cute…
