We’ll see how this goes.  I tried to give Eddie a bowl of water once and he didn’t have a clue what it was for and then he stepped in it.    Would’ve thought he got electrocuted.  LOL  But the water bottle I have for them is apparently leaking bad.  Or else they’re drinking a ton of water.  Maybe a bit of both.  Lollipop has times where she’ll drink for what seems like 5 minutes.  I know that she is fine cause she drinks throughout the day.  It just seems late at night, she’ll sit there and drink a lot.  Anyways, I know the bottle leaks bad too.   So I’m trying a bowl of water.  We’ll see what happens.  If they don’t drink at all, they’ll be getting their water bottle back shortly.

But in case they don’t use the bowl, are there any leak proof water bottles?

Yea I use a bowl and a bottle for giving my buns water. My bottle is the water buddy and it doesn’t leak that much at all (if at all).
This is what the bottle looks like:

I use Bowls and Bottles in her cage.
I use just cheap plastic bottles, the trick to try adn not make them leak is to fill it right to the top so there is little to no air in the bottle when u put the lid on.
I like dishes better, and most of mine like to drink from the dish, but some shed so much a bowls just a bad idea LOL

You could still have the bottle hanging in the cage, you could put the bowl right under it or close by. Two of mine have bottles and two have a bowl. I offered a bottle at one point to them but they never touched it, just depends on the bunny! My bunny Davey has no clue what a bowl is or how to use it, Delilah has tried before but their hair does not work well with a bowl. Dex and Dennis love the bowl

I usually put a bottle in, with a small bowl underneath so he can take his pick, and any drips end up in the bowl. At first he preferred the bowl, now he prefers the bottle. *shrug* I think when he’s very thirsty he likes the bowl as he can get more faster, but he likes to play with the ball on the bottle so seems to find that more entertaining.

Also, as for brand, I find all will drip sometimes, but as Andi says fill it up all the way. Also the kind with 2 balls in the tube rather than one or the spring loaded has worked best for me. I have a superpet bottle with a little duck inside to show water level, it’s 10oz only so I have to refill every day but would do that anyways, 2 ball design and it almost never drips, even right when I turn it right side up after filling.

The regular sippy bottles can drip when temperatures change, or when air is trapped in the spout section.

My bunny before Larry, Gary, absolutely loved drinking out of things. Bowls, cups, anything. In fact, I caught him one time with his head down inside a plant watering can (you know the kind with the spout). It was pretty funny, when I startled him he was stuck for a second and got himself all wet. But the next day he was back to doing it again.

Well….they refuse to approach the bowl of water. I watched Lolli stretch her head towards it from like a foot away to check it out. LOL So I guess we will be sticking with the leaky water bottle. But as i can be dense sometimes, someone said they put a small dish under the water bottle. I think i’m going to try that too. Duh. lol

the edstrom water buddy is supposed to be awsome for not leaking.. but I have no idea aboyt swtiching from a bottle to a bowl..somertimes when Jennys bottle is empty and I am half asleep I just stick a bowl of water in their and she drnks from that just fine..my old gir Kari I did the same thing, she had no problem switching back and forth!

I wouldn’t give up on the bowl just yet. Sometimes it can take a bunny time to figure it out. So I’d give the bowl a try for a week (along with the bottle)
