        So here’s the dilemma…

I can’t think of the name of pellets we have been using…but Chub’s old owner gave the very large bag to us. They have a decent ingredient list as far as being timothy based so I just kept using them. Chubs loves them and so does Comet. However…it’s getting toward the bottom of the bag and they don’t carry the same kind at any pet store in our area…or any place online that I can find. I’m not sure where his previous onwer bought these! So, I bought some of the oxbow pellets. I think those are some of the best anyway. So I tried to start mixing a little of those in with the ones they are used to, to start the switch. The problem is…neither bun will eat them! They pick through the pellets and leave the oxbow ones untouched. Little stinkers…how do I encourage them to eat these pellets? I tried leaving them all day to see if they’d give in, but they just ate more hay and left the pellets…Do I keep trying? Try a different brand? Or do I cut out pellets all together? They both love their hay and veggies but isn’t there some good in giving a little bit of pellets? Also, before they love loved pellets so I’m not really wanting to eliminate them..so any tricks on how to get them to eat these new ones or on any other recommended brands would be great! Thanks

Just keep offering the pellets with the Oxbow mixed in.  My bunnies all did the same thing when switching to a new pellet.

I agree, you will need to be persistent. I’ve come to the conclusion that you cannot really trick rabbits into anything and you just have to be persistent and stick to the same routine to get them to do what you want. They will eventually give in and try them.
