His eyes got red, we went to the vet he gave me antibiotic eye drops and eye drops for the redness. Normally my relationship with Cookie was very good, we slept together, we watched TV together, we were together 24/7, we were like partners. I agree with LJB10.  This is temporary.  It will take time for him to heal.  His hormones will settle. (It can take 6 weeks or so).   The hormones that were driving him to mate — which makes him circle and other behaviors that could be seen as play and affection may be less, but he seems very comfortable with you and will still like to get affection and be with you.
