So we just got back from a 2 week vacation, and since getting back both bunnies have been super affectionate. Before we left they would jump in your lap and like some pets but not a ton. Today they were like crawling up in my arms, and loving all the pets. It was little different, I expected them to be stand offish since we were gone for so long. Has anyone else had this happen? I’m certainly not complaining haha

Rabbits are funny that way, I think it’s great! Sometimes they’re mad at us for leaving them for vacation while other times they get clingy – basically saying please don’t go! My rabbit acted that way after I took him to the vet. I thought he’d be super standoffish but he was really snuggly, basically hoping he’d never have to go back there again. Enjoy it!

Aw, super cute! My bunny pouts and thumps when brought home from the vet, or boarding (once), but then quickly becomes all, “but you still love me and want to cuddle, right?!” and very affectionate. Yours must have missed you!

You’re so lucky! My Panda and Fernando are friendly, but not overly affectionate – they poke me with their booplesnoots and nip me playfully/attention-seeking-wise, but they prefer to cuddle with one another rather than me, at least thus far.

That’s adorable. The longest I was ever away was for 8 days. I was missing my buns like crazy and super happy to see them and they were like “meh, oh, you’re back. Okay.”

Haha! This is reassuring to me because I’m planning to board Sam for a long weekend within the next few months & I’m being typical bunnymomma nervous about how he’ll be when he gets back.

Awwww, cute! My two are like night and day when it comes to wanting pets and snuggles. I literally have to get down on the floor on my stomach for Marshmallow to come over to me and ask for pets, but Toby will be all up in my business as soon as I sit down. It is just amplified after I get back from being gone for a while – Marshmallow thumps and won’t make eye contact for a little while, but Toby is up on his back feet, begging for attention and crawling all over me.
