If she doesn’t give me enough troubles already

Sunny’s done this before. She now hops from the floor into a hole in my box spring. The 1st time she did it, I pulled her out and she hasn’t done it for weeks. Yesterday, she was bored, and hopped in. Got her out, and she does it again. Then a 3rd time. Today, I just got done pulling her out again. & She thinks scratching wildly at the bottom will get her out, LOL.

Now me and my mom have to turn my box spring all the way around so it faces the wall, and not out in the open where she can hop in.

Haha, buns always like to do what we don’t want them to do!

Have you thought about patching the hole? I know there are iron-on patches that should be pretty easy to apply. That might be easier than moving around the whole mattress.

I’ve been using those zippered mattress covers upside down on the bottom of the box spring to discourage “entry”. It can cover well, is cheap, and also comes in elastic edges instead of zippers so you could just slip it on, then take it off if it doesn’t discourage her. Kind of a full mattress patch.

RabbitPam’s idea is a good one, if you use those mattress cover sheets you can just put one under the box spring, and then one over the top like normal.

hmmm have you thought about blocking him from getting under the bed with those nic cube things?

Cotton pulled that onceand I ended up pulling the screen thing completely off the bottom of the box spring.   Forgot to put his baby gate up when we left.

Another option that might be cheaper than a mattress cover… get a length of chicken wire from the hardware store, flip the box spring over and use a staple gun to attach it to the wooden frame. No one is going to see it, and the bunny is not going to get thru it…
