        Hey

Think I may have posted this in the wrong place originally, I posted it in diet & care. Suki had her spay yesterday….but anyhow,  the post is here: https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tab…fault.aspx  Check it out so you know how I’m dealing with it so far (meds etc)

But yeah, I also just wanted to post here……as I’m now completely panicking. I just need some general advice to put my mind at rest about her drinking. I know she may take a good few days to get back to normal, but I’m concerned as haven’t really seen her drink, she’s had some spinach and peppers that were washed well so had lots of water on them,  apparently hubby said she has some water today, but she’ll only drink a little, and I mean 5-6 licks of her water bottle and that’s it…of course I don’t know if she has anything through the night…but…help! she’s going back to the vets on Friday for a check up, but I’m getting more and more stressed out! I know I probably shouldn’t be….is there anything else I should be doing getting her to drink more?? I bring the bottle right to her but she pretty much refuses most of the time, and tried some water in a syringe but she just lets that dribble out of her mouth.

Oh! She’s just done some teeny poops!! Yay! This makes me happy anyway. So, so sorry I’m completely obsessing here…..

Here are some pics of her a couple weeks ago when she was 17 weeks, she’s just gone 19 weeks. She does like to pose

Put a crock of water out to see if that will entice her to drink more.

Have you tried a bowl of water? I know my 2 prefer the bowls to a bottle, it seems easier for them to drink out of the bowl. Well watered veggies are good for extra water intake, so keep offering her favs well soaked in water.

Do you have an update? Like Sarita and Monkey said, a heavy bowl of water is usually preferred, rather than a water bottle, after surgery. It’s a little bit easier for them to drink out of. Other than that, very wet veggies like you’ve been doing.

              Healing vibes for Suki!

She is adorable. She has “dutch-like” markings. Is she a lionhead/dutch cross?

Since you already got some good answers, I will just say this: She is absolutely gorgeous! What a beauty.

Other than that, you can always try with celery if you worry, she doesn’t get enough water these days. They are very watery. Also, salt stones can make a bunny drink more water.

So sorry for the delay! How bad of me.

She is fiiine. Trust me to get all over the top about it. Although still a worrying time, she picked up within a day or so of writing this, now drinking and eating plenty, and back to her usual binky self, minus the peeing on my feet  She took to her litter tray almost immediately, so all in all no interruptions, and she should be getting her stiches out tomorrow

                  thanks again everyone

and Beka, she is indeed a nethie x lionhead
