Starlight has a check up in 2 days and she hates going to the vet to the point she resents me for days. Any ideas how I can make her more comfortable and less stressed? I have tried treats.

Will you be able to be in the room when they do the exam? If you are, you can bring a towel or blanket that she can sit on during the exam. Vet tables are very slippery and shiny for sanitary reasons, a towel under the bun makes the experience less awful for the bun.

I give a probiotic before stressful events like vet visit or travel. Fragrant herbs like parsley or cilantro can be brought in the carrier, even if she doesn’t eat them, the scents can keep her a bit happier.

Due to covid I can’t go in with her 🙁 but I will try cilantro because thats one of her favorite things.

I doubt they’d accept a blanket you’ve sent with her, due to covid, but make sure the carrier is well furnished with soft fabrics that smell like “home”. Perhaps a tee-shirt that you’ve been sleeping in?
