“Suffolk” Terrier Rabbit (Mops)

It was time for another trim for Mops… he is molting and it’s just too much wooly fuzz!

I’m beginning to find a style for him (after last time’s botch-job): crown furnishings long, beard short and rounded.

From the front he looks very much like a Scottie…

 

His profile outlined reminds me of a black Suffolk sheep.

So… if anyone asks I will say he is a pure-bred Suffolk Terrier Rabbit.

I didn’t know. All I knew was that she suggested to the poor to eat cake if they couldn’t afford bread. !!!

I believe he was a pug.

And actually… she never said that!  It was first seen in The Confessions of Jean-Jacques Rousseau and later incorrectly attributed to her.

I’m totally fascinated by Marie Antoinette and read her biography, which was a really amazing book.  It’s called Marie Antoinette: The Journey by Antonia Fraser.  You should check it out for a great read!  I believe she was a victim in a difficult situation.  Also, the movie Marie Antoinette with Kirsten Dunst is based off of the biography and is a really entertaining movie.  Of course, I’m a fan of Sofia Coppola’s movies.

As long as you don’t give Mops the “Bedlington Terrier” haircut- he will look adorable!  Bedlington Terriers have the weird “hump” of hair on their head.

Pretty soon you will be a pro and be able to groom him like a Scotty, Schnauzer, etc based on your whim!

Mops is a Giant Angora X Holland Lop. He’s bigger than an AFL.
Does anyone on the forum have an America Fuzzy Lop?

I’m not entirely sure but I think Princess*Smudge (former username Samantha) has a fuzzy lop.  Thread link below has pic of her bun in it.

I had a AFL except he was mixed with Satin I was told. He wanted nothing to do with anybody. He wouldn’t groom Nibbles the dwarf Hotot I had. He expected everybody to groom and take care of him while he sat on his imagonary throne. His name was Harry. He died from the stress of evacuating from a fire. He had to stay at work for three days I think.
