Im so sorry youre going through this (((((binky free little bun)))))

Sadly, no one here can really tell you what happened. You can have your vet run tests to give you an answer, though.

It’s definitely not a coincidence that so many bunnies died all at once at such similar times. There’s probably some genetic disease or infection or something that’s been going around. Or maybe something in the food. There’s been multiple foundings of E. Coli in Romaine Lettuce, so I’m not sure if that could be related to this. I’m very very devastated for you, and if it makes you feel any better, it is obvious to anyone that you are a very caring and loving owner, and that this was definitely not your fault in any way at all. Sometimes nature just takes its own course and things like this happen, and nobody can do anything about it.

I’m really sorry your little friend passed away. This is heartbreaking. You clearly did everything you could and gave her a wonderful and loving five years. We all know the day will come when our bunnies have to leave us, but somehow we never think that day will come. That’s how much we value their presence and the thought of not having them around is unbearable. I feel for you. Take care.

I’m very sorry you lost your bunny. Bunnies often go suddenly and unexpectedly.

Rabbits can become deadly ill very, very quickly. I have lost a young rabbit like that, just recently one of the forum leaders lost one of her buns in a similar way. If you look up causes of sudden deaths in rabbits you’ll find a whole long list. Here’s one list, but keep in mind its from the UK so the rabbit viruses mentioned don’t apply to you if you’re in the USA: https://www.harcourt-brown.co.uk/articles/sudden-or-unexpected-death

It’s very unfair and I’m sorry it happened to your bunny. It’s obvious that you loved her very much. You didn’t do anything wrong.

thank you everyone for your kind words i’m trying so hard to move on but it honestly feels like my life stopped the moment her heart stopped beating and it doesn’t help being surrounded by people who keep telling me “it’s just a rabbit” or “you can just get another one” burying her was the hardest part because it forced me to accept that she’s really gone i don’t know if i will ever be able to own another pet let alone a rabbit but thank you SO much for your kind words and for trying to help <3 i really appreciate it.
