I was hoping it would be a long time before I ever had to post here and it would have never crossed my mind it would be for this bun.
My husband found Biscuit passed away this afternoon. We left the house at 11a, all seemed fine. She was alert and just chilling out with Obie. We came home around 1:30p and he found she had died. There were no injuries to either bunny, so no fight happened. The only thing out of place was the litter box had been completely dug out and kicked all over the room. But she was not in the box, so I don’t know when it happened. There was absolutely no warning. Her “vitals” have been normal. She ate her greens and hay and dinner yesterday. Was binking around 2 days ago. Only two things come to mind. She and Obie have been having spats the last 2 days, to the point I had to intervene. Also, there was a little more left of their pellets from dinner than usual, but nothing major. We’re thinking maybe she has been sick and Obie knew, thus causing the scuffles. Whatever happened, I’m sure we will never know. She will be missed by humans and bunnies alike.
