Hi,
We adopted a bunny a week ago today, he is 12 weeks old now and we’ve been stalking this site for information everyday =)
From the day we got him he has been the most amazing little man, he’s lots of fun, loves strokes and is generally very loving and sweet. He had snuffles when we got him so we’ve been treating him for this but he hasn’t seemed too bothered by any of it, he’s just always happy and sweet.
Then yesterday, he seemed a bit different and everytime I went to stroke him he shrugged me off. Just preferring to lick me instead but more roughly than he usually does. He was nipping too, kind of mid lick. Today has been exactly the same but he seemed to be a bit frightened us too, he was even hiding under his hutch from us at one point.
He’s still running around and bouncing about, being inquisitive, eating and drinking, enjoying treats, sleeping and going the toilet normally and we’ve done nothing different too him or around him but he just seems very different with us. It’s like he forgot who we were overnight or something.
We’re very puzzled by it all and worried and missing the loves we got used to from him in the short time we’ve had him.
Do bunnies just soemtimes go off people? Is this maybe a sign of something? Could we have done something to offend him without knowing?
Any help or advice would be really appreciated, we want out Alfie back!!!
Thank you x x
