i have been putting the stunt doubles in and then the next day switching them. but every time i do it they will sniff it maybe once or twice and hop away, most of the time lulu just looks at it and doesn’t even try to sniff it. they use the same pen, same place when they exersize( not the same time though) anyways does this mean it is time to bond? oh and when i let them look at each other through cages they bolth sit there and look at eachother. so is it time to start bonding?

Alright. I feel your impatience. (You were supposed to wait til the 17th, remember?)
If you must, you can try a short mini session tomorrow night, it’s close enough.

You have to make a plan first: how will you break them up if they really fight?  — It happens very fast, and you can’t let any injuries occur.

Where are you thinking of having the first session?

Their first face-to-face meeting is totally unpredictable. If you are alone in this, focus on one rabbit out of the two, maybe the one who handles easier, and in case of a fight grab her. It is hard to separate rabbits in an aggressive encounter so if you can get the one, you are on top of it. Wear gloves that fit well enough so you have a grip.

Not all rabbits show interest in the stunt doubles. Looking at each other can also mean they are scheming an attack. You never know.

haha. i know i am inpatient LOL. i just think a few days wont make a difference. will it? any ways i am thinking for my first session will be the petzy cube on the dryer. should i just ware gardening gloves? if they hump is it better to let them do it and work it out? or should i brake it up. how do i tell if they are biting or licking? i might have to wait till thursday but i am not sure. one reason i want to get started is cuz we are going camping for a week or two in june and i want them to be bonded bye then.

If three full weeks are up, you can start. The first three weeks after a neuter/spay, every single day makes a huge difference.

If you are putting them inside a grid cube, they may get upset in the beginning because it will be very weird for them to feel the other rabbit so close to them. For this reason, I would place the cube with Mocha and Lulu inside it in your bathtub and run water from your shower head onto the bathtub floor with the drain open, and mist water around the cube. This is not to get the buns wet but to stress them. If they want to fight, you mist a little water on them. You would be sitting on the edge of the tub wearing gloves. Rabbits can bite through gardening gloves so still be careful. Have a grid lid for the cube but leave it off and have your free hand on the rabbits to stroke them down, while you have the running shower head in your other hand. You want to get them to a point where they just loaf and stop nipping. You can see nips by the way they jerk their heads. If your two are nasty to each other, seriously make a stress by thumping on the bath tub bottom with your free hand and spraying around them with the shower head. In the very negative scenario of one of them really latching onto the other with teeth sinking into skin and not letting go, you can use water to break them up. Splash the aggressor on the flank swiftly. This may not happpen, though, but have a plan in case it does. If there is mounting, see if the other one tolerates it. If it causes a fight, again, spray around them and mist them or splash them a bit. Basically, you will work with the water and your other hand stroking them. You can use the tub without the cube, but the rabbits may be harder to control if you are on your own.

If they do well in the cube in the tub, move them ontop of the running dryer. the advantage of the bathtub is that you have access to water.

oh good, you have a helper! then go for the session on top of your dryer to start off. You can get your mother to hold a blow drier, in case your rabbits absolutely freak out. A blow-drier on low setting sometimes works well to stop a fight also. you can aim it at the rabbits ears through the grids of the cube.
–hey, you may not need all those gadgets, fingers crossed it goes well!
