It is a “stunt double”, and immitation bunny friend. I have one for my buns, they pay no attention to it at all, but for other bunnies they can become attatched to the stuffied animal and groom it and cuddle it. If you get one you need to make sure it doesnt have any plastic eyes or other things that could be chewed off.

Fiver has one of those plush apples from the same line as the banana and carrot. He cuddles it every night before he goes over into a dead bunny flop and then gives it kisses. It’s too sweet. I’ve been trying to catch it on film but, who ever has the camera on at a time like that??
Mimzy has had his plush carrot since I got him. He uses it as a pillow for his little chin.
Pip just eats plushies for breakfast. 0_o
Fiver is the only one who’ll wash all my stuffed animals for me if they’re within reach. I’ve been told he’s substituting them for me, since he’s too scared to groom me.

Yes, Monkey has a banana. I just couldn’t resist it when I saw it and though… every Monkey needs one of those. She also has a little bear that she likes in her snoozing spot in her cage that she cuddles with and grooms.

I loved seeing your bananas, so I got one for Sammy.

It’s dying of lonliness. Poor neglected banana.
                    So’s her little bear thing.

                    She’s a tough audience.

Chuck LOVES his lion. It was a buddy for him, but now he has a best friend (Noot) and you’d think the lion would be ignored but he’s not. He still gets groomed and fed and humped

(Chuck, Noot, and stuffed lion-the lion is the orange thing thats not a bunny)

All my other buns could care less about stuffed animals though

Hoopie loves stuffed animals-he gives them kisses. We have a really small 4″ sized Moose we call Bullwinkle or Moosie and everytime he walks past him he gives him kisses. He never chews on any of his stuffed animals.

You just have to watch that your bunny isnt chewing on the stuffed toy and eating the fabric and stuffing-because it will stop them up and could make a seriously sick bunny.

Seems like a lot of our buns do well w/ stuff animals- but out of my 4 only Hoopie I can trust alone w/ a stuff animal. The rest chew them up.

I will tell you that regulations on stuffed animals FOR pets is extremely strict so if you want to test your bun get something made for animals that should be tougher than stuffed animals made for kids.

I looked at alot of stuffed animals made just for pets, but they all looked liek a dog had already played with them all.. frequently. So, I went to the baby section Babbie toys are safe for babies, so they gotta be safe for pets too. We all know how babies like putting things in their mouths!

Freya has a stuffed bunny friend. She grooms it and flops next to it so I’m pretty sure she likes it. I noticed though that if I give her fresh hay or clean her cage and put the stuffed bunny near her hay she’ll knock her away from it. She also chewed a hole in its head and it’s butt, it’s nearly time to get her a new friend.

Olivia has 2 bears that she absolutely loves but if you get one for your bunny WATCH HIM CAREFULLY and check that he is not damaging it. My lop, Bindi, got really blocked up from what we believe was stuffing he pulled out of his stuffed hippo. We gave him the toy (a dog plush toy) and he absolutely ignored it for almost a week and then one night he ripped a big hole in it’s face and pulled stuffing out. We went through two agonizing days and spent $400.00 at the emergency vet. We almost lost him but, thankfully, with lots of diligent round-the-clock care he pulled through. I don’t mean to turn anyone off stuffed toys, because as I said, Olivia loves hers and grooms and sleeps on them (they are both plush bears for babies), but I don’t want anyone else to go through what we did with Bindi.

My buns ignore stuffed animals (but they do have each other for company/grooms/humps, etc…) Some like them, some don’t. You absolutely want to inspect it frequently for holes or loose threads.

The little bear thing I got for Sammy was an animal made for pets that I found in Toys R Us. Natural color, simple, blah. She lies next to it, but mostly pushes it out of the way. I can’t say I blame her.

Leave it to Chuck to not ignore a good pal just because he has Noot now. I love Chuck.
