Strawberry not taking no for an anwer

Lola and Berry have been bonded since mid July. There has been no fighting or anything and they spend most days cuddled together or flopped side by side. Strawberry however is still mounting Lola. Not constantly but about once a day on average. Some days he will do it a couple times and some days not at all. She runs and sometimes he gives up right away and other times he will chase her a bit. She never seems too upset and doesn’t avoid him at all but I have been finding bites on her back. They aren’t huge but they do break the skin and sometimes there is more than one. She even has a bald spot where he has pulled out her fur. What do I do?

OUCH! Poor Lola! I don’t know what you can do Jen??? Henry doesn’t mount Sam (dog) anymore since being neutered, but he still insists on loving her and circling her like he hasn’t been. My only consolation is that Sam will growl, snap and walk away from him, even going outside to get away from him, so I don’t tend to worry (except I’m waiting for her to bite him one day???). I don’t know what you can do to give Lola some relief and or a break. But it is a shame she has to endure this when she clearly doesn’t appreciate it.
Have you tried putting your hand on your hip and pointing your finger saying ‘your a naughty boy Berry’? Doesn’t work? No, it didn’t for me either – DAM!
Gosh, I don’t know, but I’m sure our other friends may have some suggestions/ideas that may work better than mine? Lol!

Hopefully this behavior will eventually subside – many rabbits mount due to excitement and that may be the case with Strawberry. I think it’s okay to gently nudge him off when you see him doing this – it may work, no guarantees but no harm done.
