Today Pringles is like a toddler, into everything. So far I’ve found her

sitting on the toilet (lid down thankfully),

in the large plastic tub I usually store cat litter in (I ‘rescued’  her from it once, only to have her jump right back in and and scramble around),

        the bathtub and

        in my desk drawer

        under their litter box.

where have you guys found yours on a boring day?

HAHHA!  Okay, wait…under their litterbox?  Huh?

Well, Rucy one time jumped into the toilet.  She was so used to sitting on top that when one day it was left open she jumped right in by accident. I heard all this splashing and we were both freaked out! Anyway we have a sign in there that says "KEEP SEAT DOWN OR DOOR CLOSED"

I looked for Jack one time, and I was getting really worried when I couldn’t find him.  Then all of sudden I noticed him sitting so still and upright in the plant stand. It almost looked like he was a little rabbit statue – like he was supposed to be there.   I have a picture of his "hide & seek" adventure in his blog.  https://binkybunny.com/Default.aspx?tabid=83&EntryID=18

yes, under the litterbox. it looked just like the wizard of Oz when the house drops on the wicked witch…lol, just the back half and big feet sticking out. It was the extra box with just newspaper and hay so it wasn’t heavy, but it did make me wonder if Daisy had thrown it at her or something.

Sometimes Frankie seems to think he’s a collectible (he does match the house theme very well…).

A lot of the time lately, he’s been moving framed photos out of the way so he can lay down in a little side table we have near the TV in the living room.

I’ve been catching Frankie in a lot more weird situations lately… the latest thing that really made me laugh was that I had a heavy duty paper towel laying down on the ground in a room (dry and clean), and he hardly took any notice of it at first, but when I walked by later, I noticed something moving around in the corner of that room… Frankie was doing some sort of in-place-paper-towel-attack-dance. It was so silly… he just kept popping up and down and twisting around in place on top of the paper towel looking quite determined about it all. I guess he really felt he was accomplishing something, but to me it just looked really ridiculous!

Aww, how adorable! I have to second BinkyBunny’s suprise at one of your buns being under the litterbox. That must have been a sight to see!
I know I’ve said this tons of times before, digxmexnow, but Frankie is soooo cute – and with those colours he could easily just be part of the place’s decoration, haha
Unfortunately (or not?) my place is still lacking the majority of its furniture so she hasn’t found many places to hide yet. I think the weirdest I can claim (which isn’t really that weird, just adorable) is that at one point I found her sleeping on my bed, curled up under my comforter. I have no idea how she even got up there, it’s a pretty tall bed, but it was so cute (and she didn’t leave me any nasty suprises) I couldn’t be mad

OOhh this is such a good post … love all the responses.

I have difficulty finding Luey sometimes …. my furry blankie is practically the same colour as Luey and he likes to snuggle up on the blanket with a cushion which is the same colour as the blanket..  Generally I have to look twice … is that the cushion or Luey! LOL.  He blends in and camouflages himself.

I used to have my two piggies running around the loungeroom, until one day I could not find one of them …  looked high and low and was starting to get worried.  He had jumped into the pouch behind the chair and was asleep.  It was only that I saw a small lump sticking out otherwise he would of stayed there for the night.

                              Dawn xx

on my pillow, when I woke up this morning….lol, and I still can’t figure HOW Pringles got out of the condo. I’m used to one of the cats sleeping in that spot, I keep the blinds up a little so they can look out, but this morning I got these long whiskers and bunny kisses on my nose. at 5 am.

She has a spot I can’t find now, when I was feeding everyone Pringles disappeared knowing I was fixing to herd her back to her room for the day. I looked everywhere and finally had to leave for work. I think she’s jealous because the cats can go anywhere. Luckily I have all the wires wrapped in screen or behind hardware cloth, I just can’t imagine where she went so fast. My son gets up around noon (out of school right now) and I left a note to find her.

I better not find she’s had a wild party or made a lot of long distance phones calls!

Hmm the weirdest place I’ve found my bunny is sitting RIGHT in front of the door waiting for me when I get home, which is weird because she’s SUPPOSED to be in a cage during the day – but every once in awhile, kramer or juli will mange to pop right over the side of the expen and are usually loafing right in my path when I enter the door as if to say “you do not PUT me in a cage – I CHOOSE to stay in the cage for your benefit”

Also – I came home one day to find Kramer in Raymonds cage instead of his own – Houdini Bunny I guess – but that led to a not so enjoyable fight between the two boys it was still quite disconcerting to come home and see Kramer sitting on Raymond’s shelf instead of his own – just calmly grooming his foot

I found Pringle’s secret spot, under my bed, up inside the bedspring box (not springs, just the box and boards, but still…)

We’re walking all through house calling and banging the food dish and not a peep out of her…lol  sneaky bunny!

Ah that was Binkys spot. I couldnt find him nowheres,i couldnt imagine where he went. I heard a noise from under the bed and there he was inside the box spring. I had to cut another hole in the side for him to get out. I dont let the buns under there anymore,as they were digging and chewing up my carpet underneath. We rent so i cant have that! Ummm nowhere wierd i found buns, but they like hanging out in the bathroom on the tile,or laying with my stuffies on my bed. Great thread by the way! That was so cute Jack in the flower pot!

Took the lovely Pringles a while to find a new spot to hide, but she did.

Couldn’t find her anywhere Saturday. I have a really large plastic tub that I try to keep the bunny things in, including the smaller square bucke for pellets.

I was about to put the lid on the big box when I heard snoring so I took it off and Pringles was asleep in the pellet bucket. (I had emptied it out for breakfast so she didn’t eat but a few strays) I would say she was “curled” up sleeping, but she had just kinda oozed into a black and white spotted square shape, like those watermelons you see that were grown in a box…lol

I wish I had had my cameral, I didn’t have the heart to wake her up.

I’m having so much fun reading all of these!

Sunday evening upon our return home from a trip, Finn was following me around the kitchen while I unloaded some perishables into the fridge.  I heard a funny sound, looked all over the floor, but saw no sign of Finn.

Upon closer inspection, I spotted a tiny grey ear…looked closer and saw two bright beautiful eyes attached to that ear.  Finn had jumped into this low level very odd "cabinet" space that has no door on it…it’s this thin, odd, cubbyhole leftover space where we store cutting boards!  Since then, I have found Finn in there on several occasions, such that I have relocated the cutting boards (to make it more habitable and suitable for Finn’s impromptu visits, of course).

When Jessi lived w/ Oreo in the therapy program….one of our clinician’s kept them over the Christmas holiday.  Both of them had "broken" into his box spring.  He was completely freaked out that they had escaped.  He located them after going to bed and hearing noises in his bed.

Lately Leo likes to escape from his cage late at night.  There is about a 4 " space in the litterbox area where the grids don’t match up, I call it the "skylight".  Well the hubby came down and found him running around in the hallway for the 3rd time.  When he called Leo’s name, he jumped right back in the cage through the skylight.

Over the weekend I added an extra room to accommodate a second bunny hideaway box.  The hubby found Jessi trapped under the wood box on another level of the cage.  He said she was blocked in and couldn’t get back up to her bed and her Leo.

The best story I have about hiding spots is w/ my cat.  You know the space under the kitchen cabinets b/t the cabinet and the floor.  Often there are floorboards put in that area, like facing boards that match the wood.  Occasionally, a small piece is not installed in a corner area (this was true at my childhood home and 2 apts I lived in).  Its usually only a few inches wide.  Well Max the Cat was tormenting our newer 8 mos old kitten.  She ran into that spot and wouldn’t come out.  I had a panic attack trying to get her out.  I feared that I would have to call my landlord and start taking out these floorboards.  After she got hungry she came out and I put duct tape over the space!

I think Bam-Bam is a master at hide and seek. I found the brat hiding INSIDE the back of the fridge. Totally freaked me out! I had no idea he could even fit between the fridge and the wall.  It took me forever to find him as he decided to snooze. I guess it’s warm back there? He loves it  Nah uh no way am I gonna let him hang back there!

I found Dahlia squished between the shelf and DVD player on our TV furniture thing. I mean, it’s a tight squeeze. Lol. Dahlia gets everywhere though. It really surprised my that she’s not the one going behind the fridge.

As for Wiggles, she’s not one to hide to much. Though she used to sleep UNDER the guinea pig. Lol.

                                                  Crazy…

Oh and my kitten hid in the exact same spot as yours  I was wondering where she’d disappear to. Sheesh.

                                                      This was years ago…

one morning I went downstairs and Truffles wasn’t in her house, which was really odd! She was still pretty little at that point too. I looked in all of her usual places in the family room and then proceeded to scour the living and dining rooms, they were usually off limits for her. I really started to get frantic, since there was NO sign of her anywhere. After about 20 minutes of looking I was really distressed, but finally found her. We had a 2 tier newspaper rack right next to the armchair she liked to hang out behind. She was on the bottom tier of the newspaper rack on top of the pile of newspaper. ha ha!

I have found Lilly in the bathtub, in the bathroom sink eating my hair straightener wire (I have NO idea how she got up on top of the sink, it is tallll!), out of her new 30inch high xpen (she can jump over anything less… and now apparently this one too!), sitting on top of her budda dome litter box (paws slipping to remain balanced and everything – it is a dome!) sooo cute.. Inside my backpack (rummaging for school papers to eat)..

Ive never found Henry anywhere strange, he is so good! haha.

She’s also not very small so I coudln’t figure where she’d gone that I couldn’t see!!

Finally I realized she MUST be in the front hall closet and I opened the door (it was open just a little crack) and she was UNDER my shoe rack, with my plastic lei all chewed up, a flower in her mouth and flowers all over the closet…And this look on her face was “Oh Hi Mommy…uhhh…I found it like this”
                                                          It was tooo cute

I know, just thinking about a bunny in the potty makes me laugh. There used to be an internet joke about how to was a cat………pop him in the toilet, slam lid, flush until clean or something like that. I guess if you could run heated water to it……..

The closest the lovely Pringles has come to a bath is when she comes in the bathroom while I’m in the shower and sticks her head around the shower curtain. I like to sprinkle her to hear her grunt and huff.

I had a foster bunny for a few days named Barnaby.  He is a very small dwarf Dutch.  I wanted to let him run around a bit, as far away from my buns as possible, so I let him into our master bedroom and the adjacent hallway, with an XPen to keep him out of the bedroom.  I went somewhere else in the house for a while, then came back to check on him.  I could not find him.  Not behind the toilet, not in the shower, nowhere in the hall or the bathroom.  I looked in the bedroom under the bed, in the closet, under the desk, nothing.  I was starting to worry.  Then for some reason I went back and checked the hallway again.  There is a small bookcase there.  Sure enough, there was Barnaby, perched on top of a row of books, squeezed in between the books and the shelf above them, stretched out and relaxing.  I am *sure* he was making fun of me…..

Coney has been known to make himself a nest in my box spring. You know that weird black thin fabric under your boxspring, well there was a small snag in it and coney enlarged it to make room for his furry behind. I knew he was under my bed but when I looked I couldn’t see him. It was then I see this weird saggy lump traveling the length of my bed. I called for him and the lump stoped moving and seemed to shrink in size. The little bugger was trying to hide from me, he had rolled up in a ball. Well it took hours to convince him to get out from under there. And he has since made several holes in the fabric. I try to not let him in the bedroom but my hubby is bad about keeping the baby gates up so he sneaks in.

all of our closet doors are accordian style doors, and since they glide they have about, I don’t know, 2-3 inches of clearance from the floor…Well I won’t do a lead in since you can guess where I found her, but Kahlua baby figured out that she can *just* squeeze through this…I was almost frnatic looking for her, and finally see these goofy eyes and fluffy face peering under the door!!! I’ve since seen how she gets under there, and I am trying to get video-its just precious…
She puts her head under the gap, flops down and then runs her back legs in a flury of motion! I will post it I can get in on tape before she’s too big to fit under there anymore!!!

I am terrified that Shadow will end up in the toilet. I keep yelling at the guys to put the seat down. He has a way of blending in to the shadows and you will swear he is not there until he lunges out at you. Hence his name.

Now Fu on the other hand, if she was able to sneak in the basement, her spot was inside the base drum of my boyfriend’s kit. We could spend hours chasing her because she could dodge under all the stands. There was one drum stick with a hollow head filled with pellets and wrapped with red yarn. That became the "voodoo bunny stick" we would use it to flush her out from under the kit. When she had enough of watching us act like fools, she would calmly bounce back up the stairs, leaving us sweaty and winded.
