        Hello Everyone

I just bought a new bale of hay…It’s 2nd cut Timothy hay from American Pet Diner

anyway, I am really excited because the hay looks like it’s really good! haha I havent

tried it myself…but it just looks beautiful! Anyway Since the box is pretty big I cant really

store it in my big plastic container…so what I did was I opened the plastic on the inside

to check the hay, took the hay out and cut a whole on the box …I put the hay bag back in

and cut another hole so that basically I can just reach in the box and get some hay. I

figured it would make it a less messy task when I give Floppster some more hay. Do

you think this will be ok for the hay?

It is nice isn’t it! My rabbits love this and right now it is very soft and green. I buy the 25lb box and just use the box in came in – I take the whole bale out in the plastic bag, turn it over in the box and take the plastic off when it’s upside down if that makes any sense at all. I cannot quite envision what you did but if you can take it totally out of the bag now that would be good but really you should be fine even if you don’t. As long as it’s stored in a dry place and can “breath” it should be fine.

I always hoard the 2nd cutting hay when it looks this good so that I always have it because sometimes by the end of the season it’s just not so good – if I could only remember when the end of the season is though.
