Hello everyone, I have a question about Toby’s behavior lately. As some of you have seen on instagram, Toby is constantly running and hopping around. My sister and I call it the “happy dance” when she jumps really high and then runs fast. Well lately she hasn’t been doing the “happy dance” is this a bad sign? Yes she still runs around and follows me everywhere and loves to cuddle. But I haven’t seen that joyful little hop in a while. Could it be because she is growing or hormones? It breaks my heart

Is she still eating and drinking normally? Are her poos still normal? If all these are normal, it could be hormones. Toby is about 10 weeks now? So that’s not uncommon. When females go through puberty they can get aggressive and territorial and not really be in the mood to snuggle or even be as active. Buns who once loved snuggling and being held and picked up can start getting agitated by it. So be on the lookout for all of that with hormones too

Yep! Everything is normal. Yes she is going to be 3 months on May 8th. Whenever I let her run around the living room she goes straight to the kitchen into the fruits and veggies. Caught her nibbling on the bananas yesterday! Maybe she is stressed because she can’t eat the things she wants to yet? I really don’t know. She is still pretty playful and cuddly but she used to jump around a lot more. Also, about the hormones, will she return to “normal” once she is spayed if her personality changes because of puberty?

Yes and no. Yes in the sense that she won’t be marking or territorial (if she ever gets that way). No in the sense that most buns do tend to mellow out and not be as hyper. They essentially grow up, but their core personality will still be there.
