Humping happens. I know that, I see it happen in the shelter all the time and with other peoples bunnies…. Just Not my own!

My Own group of bunnies have never been humpers, it’s very rare if one of them humps someone else, in 5 years i have seen Ani hump her old companion Bo (for binki-ing into her while she was eating), and Baby once Hump Ani for climbing into his cage. But that’s it.
Thing is since my bunnies do not hump one another I am affraid it may upset them when Buddy our visiting bunny (lol) tries to have his way with them.

So is there any way to encourage Buddy to not hump the bunnies?
I am also feeling sorry for Puff as she’s elderly and has weakness issues in one back leg, he also humps her a lot too.

Do you think he would choose it over another Bunny? Or maybe i slide it in place when i see him going for it? LOL
So far I push him off, say “No” and pressed gently over his head. If everyone else was doing it, It wouldn’t bother me, but it’s just him.

I would try taking him off another bunny and putting him on the stunt double – I kind of doubt he’ll hump a stuffie on his own if he can hump real bunnies.

Mine have been extra humpy lately (even Otto is humping, and he never humps) yet neither have humped Hannah’s stuffed toy. This thread has given me the idea to keep stuffy around and push it under Otto when he tries to hump!

You could always try the squirt bottle too. I know it worked for Hannah when she would get a bit too chase-y and hump-y. At least it redirected her attention and got her out of the ‘zone’.
