Hi, I recently adopted 2 sibling bunnies that were 6 months old (about 7-8 months old now) and tonight BOTH of their stomachs started gurgling very loudly. I tried giving them tummy massages like I saw online and i could hear and feel more gurgles moving around but after a while they started just hopping away so i stopped. I read this could be gas and im worried about GI stasis. They are both eating and acting reletively normal and drinking plenty. I’ve added a bit of apple cider vinegar to their water to encourage them to drink more (about 10 drops into their 1 gallon of water) in the hopes that this will prevent any blockages.

        Is this just normal gas?
        Should i be worried?

Ps they did just eat kale and spinache. Theyve been eating loads of kale with theyre veggies since i got them and it hasnt caused any problems yet. Its their fave veggie.

          Hi,
Be careful with Karl because it can cause bladder stones from the calcium. You can give them .5 ml of baby gas drops and it should take away their gas sounds.
You can read in the bunny info tab more about bunnies to help you with what to do and what not to do with buns
Off topic but are both of your buns spayed and neutered? Are they both together in the same housing?

Ok thank you for the helpful information. Theyre stomach gurgling seems to be quieting down but now my male rabbit has diarrhea (not bad just a bit and i think it may have past, going to wash his bum down)

Yes my rabbits are housed togther, but I adopted them from a shelter so they are both fixed.

I would try to only feed them hay for the next 12 hours along with water to try and dry up the diarrhea and get his poops back to normal, if they don’t resolve by tomorrow I would call the vet to see what they say. And good! we don’t want little babies running around!
