So I’m going on holiday to Disneyworld for 2 weeks in a few months and am having to keep Stanley the rabbit in a shelter that’s a pet store and vets. I’m not worried about the place as I know they are fantastic with animals and they have so many good reviews for other rabbits that have stayed “on holiday”. They even give you a form to put specific requirements and how much treats and attention they will need! However, Stanley is a house rabbit and will be in a hutch (although the size is good) so will likely be distressed and confused already. But he hates being picked up and I know they will need to pick him up to move him about (e.g. They get to have time to play in a big run daily) and am really worried he’s going to be difficult and agitated for the staff there. Anyone else got experience with this?

Well I’m worried that they might not know how fragile buns are and if they don’t poop or eat they need to get to a rabbit savvy vet very fast. Are they certified to care for exotics and is the vet there certified in exotic medicine? I mean, the good reviews may be because no bun had any health issue but as always, we want our babies to be in the best hands!

Yes, it’s a vets place as well- he goes to the vets there all the time, plus they specialise in rabbits and exotic animals like lizards- all the ones they sell are bred by them. So I know he’s in safe hands, I’m just worried about him misbehaving!

Awesome! I’m sure he’ll cause some trouble for them

I think a lot of buns hate to be picked up so it’s likely that they have dealt with either equivalent or “worse” bunnies before If they are experienced with bunnies they should know how to handle a difficult bun, so I wouldn’t be too worried.
