Update: I just wanted to let everyone know that Rupert is back to his old self. I just wanted to put this update at the top to show the importance of having Baby Gas Drops (simethicone) on hand for situations like this.
Last night was New Years DAY evening and even the stores that did open for a little while were already closed!
If I did not have the baby gas drops on hand this would have resulted in a late night, and expensive, after hours emergency vet trip!
And while I was freaking out – as we all do when our fur babies aren’t well – with those drops he was back to normal in just under 3 hours!
I still would have taken him to the vet if I was seeing no change, but thankfully it didn’t come to that!
Hope everyone had a great new years!!
So I have 2 bunnies- Penlope and Rupert….
Rupert just started to do the uncomfortable position change / push belly in to floor… hop in letter box and back out again and snubbing Kale – his Favorite!!!
He is IMPOSSIBLE to get medication in to – even with the two of us!
So I put the baby gas X om his head – which he groomed some off of.. Penny wont even from it off him.
Unlike my previous senior bunny he wont let me give him belly riubs..
But I can tell he is soooo uncomfortable!
So what now?
I cleaned the litter box – but now shes gone in it – so it’s hard to tell if hes squeezed one out when he hoped in for a minute. I could tell he was trying.
Sigh – please send healing vibes!
