        Hi guys,

I haven’t been able to find an answer to this bazaar thing that my young (8months), male lion head bunny does. Shaggy is a house bunny that has most of the house for his leisure. We have his large wired rabbit cage in the corner that’s always open for him. However, in the past 3-4 months now he has been jumping into his cage and running erratically in his cage. For example, he’ll quickly jump in and run super fast back and forth in his cage and quickly burst under this ledge that he has and continue to run back and forth between his cage then jump. This will usually last for about 10-15 seconds. He’ll then usually do a bunny flop in the living room and be totally chill. I’m curious has to why he does that in his cage when he has total range of the house. I’m afraid he’ll hurt himself or maybe he’s trying to tell me something.
        Help me!!

He feels safe in his space and is happy? My bunny does this too and I don’t find anything wrong with it. I take it as his space is clean and hes happy about it

I agree! I think it’s just a weird burst of happiness. My bunny races around different ‘tracks’ in our home. Sometimes he follows a path he’s dictated in the living room, or one in our bedroom (which is extra impressive as he uses the bed!). After two or three laps, he plops down and rexlaxes.
