A loud noise? That’s what they do for dogs at our local SPCA. It’s a horn in a can sort of thing. I think they sell them at petstores. Or maybe the vacuum would work for your buns. Though physically separating them might be the only option you have for a little while, or even better, go back a few steps. Have them trade cages, maybe go on a scary car ride, make their out time only available if they’re together, ect.

You have to spray BEFORE they begin to fight. Once a fight is already underway, it’s not going to have an effect. This is when reading body language becomes so important. You’ll notice the signs that they are about to go for each other, and that is right when you spray.  The water has to be set on stream (a gentle mist will definitely not get your point across) and you have to aim at their faces, not their backs or sides.  It is just water, it will not hurt them.

That being said, not all buns are as affected by it as others.  If you’re doing all of the above and it’s not working, you can use a small laundry basket to gently drop over one of them.  Again, this has to be used before they make contact.

That’s true-it needs to happen first-learn to recognize what the signs are that they are going to squabble.

I’ll ditto the vaccum that worked for mine!

If the two are still fighting quite a bit during their bonding sessions I would recommend some kind of “stressing” technique when first putting them together, such as taking them on a car ride, or like K&K said, running a vacuum near the bonding area to make them a bit nervous, and not so focused on the other rabbit.

I also advise the spray bottle before the fight, but if truly you are in a pinch, use a sieve (wire-mesh collander) to separate them.
