Spooky’s eyes change color a lot.. they go from brown to blueish and sometimes halfway in between. Is that normal?

Do you think something is wrong?

I’m not sure exactly what you mean…do you mean when the light hits them?

Spooky is Vienna-marked, meaning he may well carry the gene for blue eyes, too, but hidden. His eyes may be tinged and different lighting will affect which hues come out stronger.

I did have a Dutch rabbit who once had blue and brown eyes, but I’m not sure if that’s what you mean – I think that’s what Petzy’s talking about. It was very pretty and unusual.

I took him to the vet because I was worried the cat may have scratched him while playing yesterday because his eyes looked really weird. Turns out he has half brown half blue eyes. It really freaked me out this morning because I had never seen them like that before! They just started changing this morning! Vet said they will probably stay like that now since he is getting older and is developing.

Vet also commented on how well behaved Spooky is, and said he was a special rabbit. I know he is special, I have never had such a well behaved, sweet rabbit. AND his eyes are even crazy cool!

Anyways, alls good with the Spooks. He had his first check up and everything is fine! He was so good at the vet too I’m proud of him.

                    I’m glad Spooky got a good check-up!

I’m glad to hear he’s all good – and that his eyes are merely a cool trait!

Perhaps now would be a good time to share more pics of the Spooks

of course! I will try to get some close ups of his eyes! They’re amazing.
